(ATLANTA) March 16, 2011 – Season 2 of the popular ATL LIVE ON THE PARK showcase series, hosted by Kenny Burns and founded by Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols, kicked off last night at Park Tavern with R&B veterans Jagged Edge headlining an unforgettable show. As usual, industry VIPs were in the building, including Ludacris, Kelly Price, RL, Jazze Pha, Chaka Zulu, Bryan Michael Cox, Devyne Stephens, Latavia Roberson, Mychael Knight, Takeo Spikes, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Peter Thomas and Lawrence Washington and more.

Newcomers Winston Warrior, Stephani Parker and Xavier Lewis (winner of the Georgia Lottery’s All Access Music Search) opened the show before JE hit the stage and thrilled the crowd with classics such as “Let’s Get Married,” “I Gotta Be” and “Where the Party At.” Kelly Price even surprised the audience with an impromptu performance of her single “Tired.” ~ Saptosa Foster

R.I.P. Nate Dogg (1969-2011)

Hip-hop star Nate Dogg, 41, has reportedly passed away after suffering from health issues for several years. Long Beach’s Press Telegram was first to report the Long Beach native’s death.

While no details have been released as to how the smooth singer — real name Nathaniel Hale — died, it has been reported he suffered strokes in both 2007 and 2008.

Nate Dogg was a collaborator with hip-hop megastars including Eminem and Dr. Dre, and he is a founding member of the hip-hop group 213 with Snoop Dogg and Warren G.

Just last week, Warren G tweeted that Nate Dogg was receiving treatment. “For those that dont know awhile back nate had 2 strokes he is in therapy thanks again for your support,” he tweeted.

Rapper Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, has withstood the storm through her parents’ two broken marriages to each other. Now she’s a well-balanced 15-year-old with a keen insight and a Twitter page.

Hailie, who goes by the username Angry_blonde on Twitter.com, is far from angry. Her twitter page is full of positive tweets that reveal insight and wisdom far beyond her 15 years.

“A real man doesn’t need to romance a different girl every night. A REAL man romances the same girl for the rest of his life.”

Hailie Jade seems to be a well-adjusted teenager whose only weakness is her apparent crush on troubled singer Chris Brown.

On her Twitter page, Hailie tweets to Brown daily, hoping for an answer but never receiving one. Brown, who has an overblown ego, will probably respond to her on Twitter once he finds out who she is. After all, he does have an album to promote.

Eminem, 38, who has raised his daughter since she was a little girl, has a house full of children.

He adopted his ex-wife Kimberley’s two daughters by other men, Alaina “Lainey” Mathers and Whitney Mathers. And his younger half-brother, Nathan, also lives with him.

Eminem says he doesn’t swear at home around the kids.

“I’m not saying there’s not glimpses of it in the music, that there’s no truth in things that I say, but this is music, this is my art, he said in an interview recently.

“I’m a parent. I have daughters. I mean, how would I really sound, as a person walking around my house cussing? I don’t cuss.”

Update:

According to online reports — and Eminem’s manager who goes by @Bunyan71 on Twitter — the girl pictured above is a fake. The real Hailie Jade Scott (not Mathers) doesn’t have a Twitter page, only a facebook page.

Another really good, but fake Hailie page is @Hailiemathers_x which links to a fake formspring page that features real pics of Hailie Jade.

Actress Paula Patton, 34, arrived back in Vancouver BC today to complete filming her next movie, ‘Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol’. The actress was among other celebrities fleeing Vancouver after a tsunami warning was issued for the area last week. Troubled singer Chris Brown, 21, was spotted flying out of LAX yesterday, one day after embarrassing pictures of him allegedly smoking weed surfaced on the Internets. I’m told his attorneys are scrambling to send out cease & desist emails to X17Online.com and other blogs, including Bossip.com and Mediatakeout — all of whom have since snatched the pics down.

But here at Sandrarose.com, I don’t believe in censorship in any form. Since Brown was bold enough to (allegedly) smoke weed in public — while driving, and while still on probation — then this blogger sees no problem in leaving the pictures up. Not that he will learn his lesson from this or anything smart like that, but maybe Brown will at least think about his surroundings before he lights up next time.

Chris Brown’s attorneys send C&D notices to blogs to take down pot smoking pics

Troubled singer Chris Brown has to be one of the dumbest ex-cons on the face of the earth, but that’s beside the point.

A paparazzi who works for the X17online.com photo agency was surprised to spot Brown sitting at a red light in his sport SUV while inhaling what looks like a joint. This is the same Chris Brown who was praised by the judge overseeing his assault case against his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

The photos of Brown smoking what looks like pot have since been removed from X17′s website after threat of a lawsuit from Brown’s attorneys. Other blogs have also deleted the pictures after receiving take down notices from Brown’s attorneys.

But quite a few blogs, mostly urban bloggers, still have the pics up.

Snake dies of silicone poisoning after biting model’s breast implant

Brothas, be very careful not to bite into your girl’s breast implants during rough sex or foreplay: they’re poisonous!

In weird news from around the world: a trained boa constrictor took ill and died of silicone poisoning hours after biting into a model’s breast implant.

The incident occurred during a photo shoot in Tel Aviv, Israel. The model, Orit Fox, was instructed to pose seductively with the snake as it slithered around her scantily-clad body.

According to London’s Daily Mail tabloid, the snake took offense when Fox began kissing and licking it. The snake latched onto her left breast and sunk its fangs deep into it.

She let out a high-pitched scream, as did a voice off camera who appeared to be directing the shoot.
An assistant rushed in to help her pull the snake off and after a few seconds of struggle the creature released its grip.
The peroxide-blonde model was rushed to a nearby hospital and given a tetanus shot.
However, the snake wasn’t so lucky and died from silicone poisoning. Source

Aflac Fires Racist Comedian Who Was Voice of Aflac Duck

Gilbert Gottried, the unfunny comedian who supplied the voice of the iconic Aflac duck for the Aflac insurance company, is out of a job after tweeting insensitive “jokes” about the Japanese people.

Gottfried, who deleted his offensive tweets, was informed of his termination yesterday:

“Gilbert’s recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac. Aflac Japan – and by extension, Japan itself – is part of the Aflac family, and there is no place for anything but compassion and concern during these difficult times.”

Although, his tweets about the Japanese people were in poor taste (and won’t be repeated on this blog), no mention is made of his racist jokes about black prisoners that are still up on his Twitter page. Even though it was evident for some time just how racist Gottfried was from his tweets, the company didn’t move to fire him until he made fun of the devastation in quake-hit Japan.
