Barack Obama to black people: “Please give me 4 more years”

Even the most staunchest supporters of U.S. President Barack Obama can tell things are not the same as they were back in 2008 when Obama was Winning.

Over the weekend, Obama posted a campaign Launch video on his website announcing his $1 billion 2012 election bid. The video was replete with bucolic scenes of middle America and the rural countryside. Somber white people reminisced over the “underdog senator” and the “changes that we’ve seen in the last two and a half years.”

What changes, you ask?

Well, I did note one major change from the first time Obama ran for president. That change is seen at the 1-minute mark of the video when a black woman appears onscreen and parrots the same tired excuse we’ve heard over and over again since Obama was sworn in as president.

“Alice” from Michigan reminds us that “President Obama is one person.” Her appearance in the video is in stark contrast to Obama’s past campaign videos where there was nary a black face to be found.

Alice might as well have said, ‘Obama desperately needs us blacks this time around.’

Obama’s arrogance allowed him to largely ignore the black community in 2008. But expect to see a lot more black faces in Obama’s $1 billion campaign bid to keep his job. In coining the election phrase, “It Begins With Us” — Obama knows that in 2012, he won’t win reelection without at least acknowledging black people.

Beyonce and Jay Z Celebrate 3rd Anniversary in the Bahamas

Beyonce, 29, and her rapper husband, Jay Z, 41, were spotted getting off a boat in the Bahamas yesterday. The island they’re staying on is the same one where Aaliyah died in an unfortunate plane crash on August 25, 2001.

Can you believe Jay Z and Beyonce have been married for 3 long years? The couple exchanged “I do’s” exactly 3 years ago today in a private residence in Manhattan. Even though everyone knew they were a couple, Bey and Jay never publicly admitted their romance until after they had been married. I don’t know how these two managed to stay together for so long, but they deserve kudos for staying happily married with all the outside pressures being put on them.

Rihanna Performs “California King Bed” Live On CMAs

R&B singer Rihanna performed her next single, “California King Bed” off her smash album LOUD with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles at the 46th Annual Country Music Awards in Las Vegas last night.

The reviews are in: “She sounds like a dying rabbit,” wrote one reviewer following Rihanna’s unlikely performance at the CMAs.

Wearing a dreadful red pixie wig and a white dress, Rihanna choked out the words to her own song in a live performance that didn’t go over well with the harsh Twitter.com critics. To put it frankly, she was bad — and not in a good way.

Nettles tried to save Rihanna after their duet by calling the 23-year-old Barbadian native a “wonderful performer.” She added: “Obviously, country music is hip and it’s cool and it’s fresh, and I think her being here tonight is even more testimony to that.”

Taylor Swift won the Entertainer of the Year award and Lady antebellum won a gong for Album of the Year. Miranda Lambert took home four gongs and Twilight star Robert Pattinson and newlywed Reese Witherspon were presenters.

Obama Criticizes Burning of Quran

U.S. President Barack Obama released a statement Friday condemning the executions of seven foreign U.N. employees in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif.

Obama said in a statement that no religion tolerates “the slaughter and beheading of innocent people.”

A total of 11 people were killed Friday in uprisings sparked by the news that Pastor Terry Jones burned 2 Qurans during a stunt at his church in Florida on Mar. 20.

Mr. Obama, who was raised a Muslim, saved his harshest words for the burning of the Quran, which he called “an act of extreme intolerance and bigotry.”

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the murders, including the beheadings of two U.N. employees. The day of violence left 78 people injured and the death toll is expected to rise as rioting continued Saturday in Afghanistan.

Terry Jones, the Florida pastor who finally made good on his past threats to burn the Quran, said:

“We must hold these countries and people accountable for what they have done as well as for any excuses they may use to promote their terrorist activities. The time has come to hold Islam accountable.

“Our United States government and our President must take a close, realistic look at the radical element Islam. Islam is not a religion of peace.”

Mr Jones, a former furniture salesman, was quick to respond to accusations that blood was on his hands.

“We do not feel responsible, no,” Jones told “Nightline” anchor Bill Weir.

“They must alter the laws that govern their countries to allow for individual freedoms and rights, such as the right to worship, free speech, and to move freely without fear of being attacked or killed,” he said.

He added: “We demand action from the United Nations. Muslim dominated countries can no longer be allowed to spread their hate against Christians and minorities.”

When told by the FBI that there was a $2.2 million fatwa (hit) out on him, Jones said, “I don’t right now feel personally afraid. But we are armed.”

Mr. Jones’ next stunt is to put the Islamic high prophet Muhummad on trial for “crimes against humanity.”

Nicki Minaj Strikes Back With Tragedy (Lil Kim Diss)

DJ Funkmaster Flex dropped this Nicki Minaj, Lil Kim diss snippet last night. It is rumored to be off Lil Wayne’s hastily recorded album, Carter IV, due in stores later this month.

Nicki’s Lil Kim diss is a bit late, but very effective. Whoever writes Nicki’s raps should get all of her royalties because they do the real work. Anyway, Nicki goes in on Kim, telling the aging rapper: “You a tragedy/you a parody/last name Ann/first name Raaaaaagedy”

Celebs Out & About: Kelly Rowland

Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, 30, took a dip in the ocean off Miami Beach on an early Saturday morning. She showed off her toned figure in a lime green string bikini. It’s hard to tell she had breast augmentation surgery, but she did. If you are planning on increasing your breast size, may I suggest you be as discreet as Kelly and not overdo it?

They say this is Kelly’s boyfriend, identity unknown. She looks happy. Good for her.

In unrelated news, blogger Tami Reed of TalkingWithTami blog, reports that Drake and Lil Wayne had a falling out yesterday during his concert. She says Drake and Baby, aka Birdman, got into a shoving match, which ended when Drake yelled, “I AM Young Money!” Weezy reportedly responded “f*ck you!” and now Drake is out of the Young Money clique.

Supposedly, the dispute was over royalties owed to the rapper. I know you don’t care, but Drake is my favorite rapper right now, so I care.

Judge to Jermaine Jackson: “Pay your child support deadbeat”

Jermaine Jackson is often photographed on vacation with his current wife Halima Rashid in Dubai or some other far flung exotic destination. He lives in a posh mansion in San Fernando Valley with his wife — and they own several luxury vehicles — yet he can’t afford to pay his child support bills because he claims he’s broke.

According to the Daily Mail, Jackson, 56, was back in a California courtroom yesterday to explain why he’s behind on $100,000 in child support for his two sons with ex-wife Alejandra Jackson.

The judge lowered his past due payments slightly and ordered Jackson to pay $80,000 in past due child support for his sons Jaafar and Jermajesty Jackson.

Alejandra Jackson (pictured above) is just as sorry as her baby daddy. She refuses to leave the Jackson compound in Encino, California where the Jackson 5 grew up after leaving Gary, Indiana in the 70s.

Jackson, who converted to Islam in 1989, complains that he shouldn’t have to pay child support because Alejandra has lived at his family’s Hayvenhurst estate for 20 years without paying a single bill.

But Katherine Jackson, 81, who has custody of the late Michael Jackson’s 3 kids, wants Alejandra gone. Katherine took Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket, and moved out while the mansion was under renovations. But Alejandra stayed put with her four sons — two with Jermaine and two with his younger brother Randy — despite the fact that the Estate’s attorney Howard Weitzman changed the locks and removed the food from the home.

Jermaine’s California driver’s license was recently revoked, but it will be reinstated if he makes a minimum payment of $5,000 on April 4. But Jackson claims he is destitute and can’t afford to pay a penny even though he earned hundreds of thousands of dollars appearing in two reality TV shows.

Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s beautiful children are growing up quickly in front of our eyes! The paparazzi spotted Paris, 12, and 9-year-old Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, on a shopping excursion to a toy store with their auntie LaToya Jackson in Beverly Hills yesterday. Cute!
