Celeb Style: 2011 Billboard Music Awards

The Fashion Critic gave Beyonce the Most Uninspiring Award for wearing this black number from Lanvin’s Fall 2011 Collection. She gussied up the unflattering dress with gold Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Rihanna, who usually dresses provocatively for awards shows, toned it down last night by opting for the understated elegance of a men’s tailored Max Azria white suit with nude colored Louboutin’s. Her white, buttonless silk blouse was open down to her navel where she “showcased a gold fringe Solange Azagury-Partridge tassle necklace.” She got my Best Dressed Award for the night.

According to fashion blog Upscale hype, rapper Nicki Minaj attended the 2011 Billboard Music Awards wearing a piece from the Mark Fast Spring 2011 Ready to Wear Collection and a Gareth Pugh outfit for her uninspiring performance of “Super Bass”.

Singer Keri Hilson looked refreshing in this appealing Rachel Roy dress with sheer bell sleeves.

Singer Kelly Rowland tipped down the red carpet in a Hervé Léger bandage dress from the Spring 2011 Collection.

Black Eyed Peas lead singer Fergie wore a Hervé Léger by Max Azria Atelier dress

Singer Mary J Blige wearing a Marc Bouwer leopard print dress

Rapper Nas got his grown man on in Tom Ford “Cyrille” aviator sunglasses ($450) and a pair of Gucci high-top lace-up sneakers ($520), according to UpscaleHype.

Let me guess, this was a protest and cry-out by Nikki herself to label that she really wants to change her image; I recall in her little VH1/MTV interview, she stated she was really sick of this animated persona. Poor girl, I feel so bad for her.
