Keri Hilson: ‘Lose Control’ ft. Nelly (Video premiere)

Singer Keri Hilson released this music video for her single “Lose Control” featuring Nelly, off her album No Boys Allowed. As usual, there’s scenes of sexy, scantily clad Keri writhing and groping herself as the music undulates around her. “Shaaa-ake, wind and roll/Let’s lose control,” she yaps. Then Nelly’s testosterone fueled raps breaks up the monotony as he gets dragged by Keri and her scantily clad dancers about midway through the Colin Tilley directed clip. That’s about it.

It sounds like your typical pop song these days. It wasn’t a stretch for her vocally so that’s a plus. She should be able to perform this one with ease With Nelly, it will be in rotation this summer. The boots were fire and I like the wild hair on her.

I was with Keri on “Pretty Girl Rock” because it was the opposite of this song, creative with a unique video (sure she pretended to be others and “lift” parts of other peoples videos to do it but it was a good idea). Stuff like this is what’s wrong with music. They think you can just say the exact same thing over & over in a song and have a video with half dressed woman barely dancing around. Boring, it’s been done by everyone for the past decade.
