Ciara Steps Out With Amar’e Stoudemire *Updated*
For months it was rumored that singer Ciara was dating NY Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire. Whether they are actually a romantic item has yet to be confirmed by either of them.
UPDATED: According to Hip Hollywood, they are indeed a couple:
Just interviewed Ciara and she admitted that she and Amare are indeed a couple. She was very shy about it and said “you know I don’t talk about my personal life” but when I pushed she shook her head laughed and said yes they are a coouple. She added that this is a very happy time in her life and that she is really enjoying herself! She and Amare were snapped at a party after the Met Gala last night.
Ciara and Amar’e stepped out together last night to attend the Candie’s Foundation 2011 charity event to prevent teenage pregnancies benefit gala at Cipriani 42nd Street.
Amar’e was dressed by designer and friend Rachel Roy. I have no clue who dressed Ciara, but she looks nice.

K. Michelle, real name Kimberly Michelle Pate, made a little noise last night when she snatched celebrity blogger Necole bitchie’s wig on the social networking website Twitter.com.

How Many Times
[Verse 1]
If you were hurt like I was before
Ladies go turn up your radio
Cause Imma sing this one for us, yeah
See they complain about our attitude
Talk about the things we do
To me it seems so obvious
They like it, they keep coming, keep coming back
For more, yea
You always so quick to up and criticize
I got my flaws and yes I realize
I became so hard to deal with cuz this part of my heart is so tired
[Chorus]
How many times, how many times, how many times
Ooh, I caught you on the phone with her
How many times, how many times, how many times
Did I take you back and you broke my heart
Ooh this song know how I feel
You betrayed my love
ooh and the moral of the story is
How many times
How many times
When Twitter Goes Horribly Wrong…

Last night, up-and-coming singer K. Michelle went on a Twitter rant calling out celebrity blogger Necole bitchie for being a bitter wannabe recording artist who blackballs successful studio artists such as herself.
I thought K. Michelle’s rants against NB were interesting considering that I’ve heard rumors about Necole (allegedly) accepting favors and perks from record labels to write favorable posts about lame singers, such as Trey Songz.
Remember I told you last year that NB enlisted the aid of industry exec Michael Kyser to groom her into a recording artist? Many of you scoffed at me for saying NB took up blogging to better position herself to get a record deal.
Well, here’s what K. Michelle tweeted about that:
Lets be real @necolebitchie u are one big head hatin ass blogger. U see me fightin 4these girls but u continue 2block my material cuz u ride dicks. U have a real problem with me 4 no reason. Its not my fault u didnt get a record deal. #stupidbitch @necolebitchie I love my job but hollywood people like u R sad. All I wanna do is help women do better. U R a blogger not a artist. Remember Im not kissing yo ass for a post on ur blog. Fuck u take this and sit on it. Keep black ballin me,ima keep singing. Three things I know how 2do 1.sing 2.be honest 3.and fight 4what I believe in. Good night
If you recall, I also wrote a blurb about NB hastily packing her bags and moving to Miami 2 years ago after a breakup with a certain female singer:
Necole was reportedly despondent over her breakup with a not so well-known female singer who was spending a lot of time in Atlanta. So Necole was happy to move to Miami to put some distance between herself and the chick.
Now, I have no idea if the singer was K. Michelle or not. So please don’t quote me on that.
When Keenan Cahill Met Ciara
Keenan Cahill is the 15-year-old who gained YouTube fame by uploading videos of himself sort of, kind of lip-syncing to popular tunes.
Today, Keenan met up with R&B singer Ciara in New York’s Time Square to raise awareness for teen pregnancy. Together, they performed a memorable rendition of Diana Ross and The Supremes’ classic hit “Can’t Hurry Love”.

Pittsburgh Steeler in Hot Water for Tweeting About Bin Laden
Osama bin Laden’s blood had not yet run cold before black celebrities and others turned to social networking websites to forward a fake “message” attributed to civil rights leader Martin Luther King about not celebrating one death.
Now, a Pittsburgh Steelers running back is catching heat for showing sympathy for the slain 9/11 mastermind.
Rashard Mendenhall, who is black, tweeted:
“What kind of person celebrates death? It’s amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We’ve only heard one side…”
He further showed his ignorance by claiming 9/11 never happened:
“We’ll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style.”
A Steelers spokesperson rushed to distance the organization from Mendenhall’s remarks, saying, “I have not spoken with Rashard, so it is hard to explain or even comprehend what he meant with his recent Twitter comments.”
It’s easy to see why anyone — outside of the black community — would fail to comprehend what Mendelhall tweeted.
White people get their cues from their environment, such as books, newspapers, television news, etc. But black people are notorious for distrusting the mainstream media, and some of us don’t read. So we get our cues from the streets, and from word of mouth.
And even though the word from the streets might be convoluted and twisted, we still try our best to make sense of the message and to apply logic where there is none.
So no one should be surprised that blacks like Mendenhall are showing sympathy for Osama bin Laden, despite the overwhelming evidence that he was a mass murderer.
That’s just the way we are…
Derrick Rose is the NBA’s MVP
According to the NBA’s most well-respected jump-off Stilletto Jill, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has been named the NBA’s MVP, as predicted throughout the regular season.
I’m so proud of my nephew.
As expected, Bulls guard Derrick Rose has been named MVP for the 2010-2011 NBA season. At 22, Rose is the youngest to ever win the award and the first Bull to receive the honor since Michael Jordan.
In an impressive third season, Rose is averaging 25 points, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds. The Bulls have had an incredible season. They secured the best record and their coach, Tom Thibodeau also won coach of the year honors. They’re the 12th duo in NBA history to win both awards.
Monday night the Bulls lost to the Hawks 103-95 in the first game of the second round of the playoffs. Derrick Rose re-injured his ankle and is listed as day to day but I can’t imagine him sitting out any games. It’s the PLAYOFFS after all.
