Sephora was the scene of the launch of the Carol’s Daughter Spokesbeauty Monoi repairing collection on 34th street in NYC yesterday. Celebs such as Mary J Blige, Solange Knowles, Selita Ebanks and Puffy’s concubine, Cassie Ventura, graced the red carpet as flash bulbs popped. Carol’s Daughter’s founder and CEO Lisa Price and Steve Stoute sparked controversy when they selected Solange, Selita and Cassie to be the spokesmodels for their hair care line.

Celeb Style: Lil Wayne

Yesterday pictures appeared online of rap mogul Lil Wayne spending quality time on South Beach in Miami with his unidentified Latin cutie. Earlier this week, the two lovebirds sat courtside during game 4 of the eastern conference finals between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls (game 5 is tonight in Chicago). The chick appears to be completely enamored with Weezy in these pics. Someone emailed me yesterday claiming to have attended high school with the girl. So at least we know she’s American. Lil Wayne’s artist, Young Money rapper Drake, also sat courtside with the couple.

Weezy chose his courtside attire as carefully as he chooses his baby mamas. According to UpscaleHype, he wore a Mitchell & Ness LA Lakers hat, a Billionaire Boys Club classic Curve logo tee, Desert Digi Camo cargo shorts, checkered socks, and a pair of Nike Dunk Mid Premium SB “3 Bears Edition” sneakers.

Drake and LeBron declare their love for each other (no homo)

Don’t you love it when two manly men can declare their love and appreciation of each other’s talents without fear of sparking teh ghey rumors?

Unlike his boss Lil’ Wayne, who complained bitterly about LeBron totally ignoring him, Drake publicly confesses his deep affection and devotion for all things LeBron. And LeBron feels likewise about Drake.

According to SLAM, Drake often sends LeBron encouraging text messages before and after NBA games. Yahoo Sports reports on one particular touching text sent by Drake to LeBron before the all-important game 4 of the eastern conference finals where the Miami Heat routed the Chicago Bulls. “Tonight is your night,” Drake texted to LeBron from his courtside seat. “I always let him know that it’s his night,” Drake tells Yahoo. “Let’s get it, let’s go out there with a clear mind and forget all the other stuff going on and just stay focused on the task. That ring. Tonight, I told him it was his night. And it was his night tonight.”

James [also] saw something special in Drake and his music, and became a big fan, long before Drake’s debut studio album ‘Thank Me Later’ went platinum last year. The Heat star said the two now have grown to share a familial bond. ‘What we have is real family,’ James said. ‘It’s not just because we are successful at what we do. We really care about one another on a day-to-day basis. Anytime you get a friend that can come and support you in what you do, I really respect that. He has a busy schedule. I respect that. Anytime I get some free time, I try to support him as well.’” Source

Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, 26, was spotted hanging out with his adorable 10 month old son, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jr., and his girlfriend Irina Shayk on holiday in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal yesterday. Holding Ronaldo’s son is Hugo Aveiro, Ronaldo’s brother.

Shockingly, after these pics were taken, Ronaldo climbed into a waiting limo with his baby sitting unsecured on the seat between him and Irina. I guess the laws requiring baby seats in moving vehicles are nonexistent outside of the US?

Kim Kardashian (Finally) Engaged

Remember what I told you about female narcissists and how they start putting subtle putting pressure on their victims to marry them as early as two weeks after they meet? The whirlwind courtship usually ends with the female narcissist suggesting that he marry her or lose her forever to another man.

That’s what happened to poor Reggie Bush, who stuck around as long as he could because he thought he was in love with reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian. Kim even purchased her own 7-carat engagement ring in 2009 when Bush took too long to get with the program.

Most healthy men realize what’s happening immediately and bolt for the door early. But weak minded men always get entangled in the web.

Kardashian finally got one of her victims to fall for her charms. According to People magazine online, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, popped the question to Kim while on bended knee in the bedroom of her Beverly Hills mansion.

Humphries presented Kim with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler. “I just knew I wanted it to be big,” says Humphries, 26, who, with the help of Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner, planned an intimate family celebration later that evening.

“Kris really didn’t want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he’d be fine if there were mini-horses there,” says Kardashian with a laugh. “Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!”

It should come as no surprise that Kim’s ring is a gaudy 20.5 carats. Expect the wedding to be equally as splashy and tasteless. Narcissists wouldn’t have it any other way.
