Beyonce officially announced her new perfume, CÉ NOIR, with a rare video unboxing on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Fans were shocked by what she said in the video while revealing the meaning behind the bottle’s design.
Ce Noir is a French term that translates to “This Black.” But it seems Beyonce thinks it means “Say no more.”
“I’m super excited. This is my CÉ NOIR unboxing and it’s finally here after years of work,” she said in the video that was viewed nearly 2 million times on Instagram.
“I wanted something to be monolithic and I wanted something to have a little bit of intimacy,” said the mom-of-three. She noted the bottle features a window that reveals the bottle’s contents.
It’s what Beyonce said next that struck fear in the hearts of some of her loyal fanbase.
“So, right here, I can see inside the soul of the perfume.”
The fact that the perfume’s name means “The Black” and she’s wearing a black outfit in a B&W video unnerved some of her fans.
One former fan said she quickly stopped the video and “unfollowed” Beyonce on Instagram. Others said “No thank you,” to buying a product that allows the strange singer to see inside their souls.
The video fueled rumors that Beyonce is a card-carrying member of the Illuminati.
