Disgraced Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was tapped to deliver the commencement speech at 2011 High School Graduation for students of Camelot’s Accelerated Schools at Kimmel Center in Philadelphia yesterday. Vick presented two students with full scholarships. That was nice of him. He was well-protected by beefy bodyguards at the high school. In August 2007, Vick, 30, pleaded guilty to federal dogfighting charges. He served 21 months in prison, followed by two months in home confinement.

Damn Sandra, why don’t you just take out the part about the scholarship and make this mention what it’s really about. Why must this man be referred to as “disgraced” and every sentence in what’s SUPPOSED to be about him doing something good turned into a negative.
He did it, he was ignorant, he went to jail – THAT was his fault too, he lost $100 million dollars (which is much less than people who have killed other PEOPLE have lost) I’m sure T.I., who has been to jail a LOT more times than Mike and has disgraced himself and hurt entire black communities with his drugs and guns will get a rousing “welcome back” and 50 positive posts as if he’s “arisen”.
What is it about you and negativity as it relates to people trying to right a wrong? You won’t let that go – although you have your “picks” that you try to shove down our throats.
Say what you want about Mike Vick. He still looks like a tall bar of sexual chocolate. I’d do him (with a condom – can’t forget about the herpes)!

There was a time when going to jail was viewed as “paying your debt to society”. But now it’s a debt you can never repay. Yet the saddest part is when we of the same demographic that is incarcerated the most, take to heart the same views created to demoralize our character as a people.

Yea ok…because the people that defend him(and that’s not what most do, they simply point out the ridiculousness of holding onto a crime like this one vs others that people have committed) don’t believe a dog’s life is more important than a human’s life.

The way we treat animals shows our humanity and compassion. Vick never killed a dog. He was the money man point blank period. I bet the people that actually killed the dogs were out long before Vick was, if they did time at all3. Our criminal system is messed up, even if you play a bigger role, if you snitch you get off.

I don’t care about Vick one way or the other but I will say this…DOGS ARE NOT PEOPLE. PERIOD. Love your dogs all you want but stop getting offended when everyone else sees them for what they are, animals.

i love my dogs dearly and take care of them like they’re my children BUT if one of them became ill or severely injured, i’d put ‘em to sleep and keep it moving. i wouldn’t spend thousands of dollars extending the life of a dog whose quality of life is solely dependent on their ability to run, play, squirm around on the ground, jump up and down to get your attention or show their excitement, etc.
What I’m about to say MAY OFFEND SOME People and I WILL NOT APOLOGIZE for it EITHER (MF-ing Real…)
ANYBODY who treat Their PETS (Dogs, Cats, ETC…) LIKE Their Children has some serious MENTAL DISORDERS because there is NO SUBSTITUTE FOR Your Children… YOU can go damn near ANYWHERE (At ANYTIME…) and Get ANOTHER PET !!!

I’ve been a Pet Owner before and Grew Up with Dogs & Cats as PETS… And currently have Friends who have Pets and they treat them LIKE PETS (NOT Children !!!)

1) I actually think Ciara looks good…..better than she has in a while. Flip flops and sundresses ARE NEVER gonna go out of style. They’ve been in style since I was a little girl (& TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU, THAT WAS A LONG WHILE AGO).
