Falcons Player Pours Bleach On Baby Mama’s Clothes; Vandalizes Her Apartment
In the 1995 film ‘Waiting To Exhale,’ based on Terry McMillan’s novel of the same name, Angela Bassett plays a scorned woman who pours bleach all over her man’s clothes and sets fire to his ride. Women in theaters everywhere stood and applauded this scene because they could relate to the anguish and pain that she was expressing through her actions.
According to TMZ.com, an NFL player is under investigation in Georgia for allegedly wrecking his baby mama’s apartment and pouring bleach all over her valuable possessions.
Cops in Gwinnett County responded to a domestic disturbance call at the apartment on Sunday night.
Atlanta Falcons cornerback Christopher Owens’ ex-GF, LaTia Terry, who has a 9-month -old baby with him, claimed the NFL player entered her apartment when she and their baby were out of the home … and trashed the place.
It’s a good thing she wasn’t home.
In addition to punching holes in the wall and destroying expensive flat screen TVs and other electronics, La Tia told officers the 3rd round pick in the 2009 draft also destroyed the baby’s crib.
Sources connected to the incident tell TMZ the two had a heated argument over their custody arrangement the night before.

i’ve never seen or heard of a situation where if the non-custodial parent followed the court-established guidelines (i.e. made all child support payments on time in the amount set forth, showed up on time and on the appointed days of visitation) did the courts side with a crazed baby mama just because she’s the mother.
here in Georgia, i’ve seen judges rip bishes apart for keeping children away from their fathers and threaten to award custody to the father if the mother didn’t abide by the visitation agreement.
if this bish was threatening to keep his child away from him if he didn’t pay X amount of dollars or whatever the case may be, he should have contacted the case manager, made a written report and a sheriff would have escorted him to pick up the child on the appointed visitation date. child support and visitation are two separate issues in the eyes of the law.

I hear you and i know most judges rule base their rulings on personal feelings and not solely on the rule and letter of the law. although i’d probably stereotype a brotha who showed up in court with his pants sagging, saying “yahmean (you know what i mean)” at the end of every sentence, etc. it’s not right, but it’s reality and if you want to be viewed favorably, you have to present yourself as a clean-cut, responsible, hardworking parent just trying to do the right thing by your kids. i see waaay too many people (women and men) show up in court like they’re heading to the club or hanging out in the mall; and wonder why the judge looks at them sideways. when asked why they aren’t paying child support, their reason is cuz the custodial parent withheld visitation; and unfortunately, that’s not a legal defense to not paying child support.

I had my frat brothers come their and talk about their careers. I expose them to the arts, science, music that they wouldn’t normally be expose to. Every year I had a end of the year program “Men’s Day”. We provide workshops on Dressing for Success, Tieing a necktie, Financial Responsibility, Parental Roles & Expectations.
