Michelle Obama and Daughters Land in South Africa
The two daughters of U.S. President Barack Obama landed in Africa with their mom, first lady Michelle Obama earlier today. Obama’s beautiful daughters, Malia and Sasha, looked worn and exhausted after their long transatlantic flight from America. Feeling a little chilly in the night air, the girls draped themselves in South African flags.
Michelle Obama plans to meet with South African President Jacob Zuma’s wife Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma in Pretoria and visit the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg today. Then tomorrow she will deliver the keynote address to a Young African Women Leaders Forum in Soweto. She will also visit Botswana and Cape Town during her tour of Africa. Mr. Obama didn’t make the trip.

What would keep the Johnson brothers away from such a momentous occasion, you ask? — especially when it was all being filmed for Toya’s “Family Affair” reality show on BET?
The answer is: the long arms of the law.

Devyne Stephens 40th Birthday Bash at Dreamland
They say whatever happens in Dreamland stays in Dreamland. The ultra modern, Sandy Springs mansion is co-owned by music moguls Akon and Devyne Stephens. The men don’t actually live in the mansion, they just hold memorable parties there. Such as the star-studded, Polynesian style, Fantasy Island bash that Devyne threw for his 40th birthday extravaganza on Sunday.
Dreamland’s living room floor is transparent allowing guests to see the lush landscaping below.
Celebs in attendance included singers Akon, Ciara, Kandi Burruss, Timothy Bloom and V Bozeman, pictured above with actress LisaRaye (“Single Ladies”); rappers Too $hort and Yung Joc, Ron Devoe (New Edition) and his wife Shamari Fears (Blaque); Lakers star Ron Artest; Kasim Reed, the Mayor of Atlanta and more! Jill Scott: “I left my husband because he didn’t like my cooking”
Jill Scott is unlucky at love. We know the emotional singer’s husband left her, but now we know why: she wasn’t a very good cook. Scott recently spoke to Contact Music about her husband, Lyzell Williams’ distaste for her cooking:
One of the reasons my ex-husband and I broke up is that he stopped eating my food. He was pissed (off) for other reasons, but the best way to show me was by leaving what I’d made for him uneaten for days on the kitchen counter. It was a smack in the face.
In addition to not being a good cook, Scott wasn’t very clean either.
What wife leaves dirty dishes on the kitchen counter for days? I hope she was only joking because this reflects more poorly on her than it does on him. It seems that Jill Scott’s biggest problem with men is her lack of home training.

Label Insider: “This is the Worst Beyoncé Album Ever”
Beyoncé is featured inside this month’s Time magazine. According to a record label insider, Beyoncé’s upcoming album, 4, is her worst album to date. The CD has caused turmoil and divisiveness at Sony/Columbia.
My source, who begged to remain anonymous, said Jay Z and Beyoncé both want the album released on schedule. But label execs don’t think Bey’s fans will embrace the album due to Jay Z’s incompetent A&R.
“This is the worst Beyoncé album ever!,” said my source from his home in New York.
“[Jay Z] and his boys are A&R’ing Beyoncé but they’re not doing a great job at it. This has been the worst rollout I’ve ever seen on Beyoncé. She never put out this… I mean, granted, not everybody can put out great singles. But, this is the first time she put out back to back to back bad singles. None of them are working! At least when Mathew was here, he would have put the brakes on it, you know… Sometimes the saying goes: if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, you know? Mathew might have made some bad judgment calls on his personal life, but as a manager… he was a great manager.

SR Exclusive: The Real Reason Why Kelly Rowland Dumped Her Manager, Devyne Stephens
As some of you may know, singer Kelly Rowland and her manager, Devyne Stephens, parted ways last week. According to an industry insider, Kelly’s boyfriend, Tim Weatherspoon, made her fire Devyne.
It seems that Weatherspoon (pictured at right and below with her) didn’t get along with Devyne, who celebrated his 40th birthday in grand style last night in Atlanta (more on that later).
“Tim was co-managing Kelly with Devyne,” said my source. “If you notice, he’s always in pictures with her. A lot of people may not know [he's her boyfriend] because he’s more like an average Joe. He’s not well-known. But she really loves him.”
Kelly has been riding a wave of newfound fame fueled by her #1 hit single, “Motivation”, featuring Lil Wayne. Although she is a superstar in the U.K., Kelly wasn’t as popular here in the states as she was when she sang backup for Beyoncé in Destiny’s Child.
Industry insiders believe Kelly Rowland’s renewed popularity in the U.S. is the reason why her boyfriend pushed for Kelly to dump Devyne.
“He wants them to be like Jay Z and Beyonce,” said my source, who believes “a little jealousy” may have precipitated Tim’s decision.
“That’s a battle that Devyne couldn’t fight,” he said. “He can’t go up against that. [Tim] is with Kelly everyday. They sleep together, etcetera.”
