A Private Concert Affair Hosted By Estelle at Club Reign
Last night, British songbird Estelle hosted a private concert affair at Atlanta’s newest crown jewel, Club Reign (the new Vision). “This is not the Grand Opening, it’s just a soft opening,” said club owner Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment. He added: “AG Entertainment is working hard to finalize the preparations for the big Grand Opening!” So stay tuned for the details!
Celebs like comedians Bill Bellamy, left, and Chris Tucker showed up to support the talented chanteuse.
The lines stretched down the block and around the corner at 6 p.m. on Thursday as Estelle fans queued up in the blazing heat to see her perform for the first time in the Dirty South!

I agree Estelle is an acquired taste… she is very talented. She may not fit today’s vision of plexi glass azz, wet and wavey, dressed up Prius definition of beauty but I like her… Other than braces she hasn’t had any auto body work done. Also she has always worked with big name artist, which I say shows her true star power rather than her purchased stars.

I haven’t had that creamy crack for several years now.
My hair is thick and coarse too and it was to arduous and downright painful to get and keep this sht straight. I did braids and kinky twists for a while before I transitioned to my locs.
@Drag : exactly !!!!! they’re very practical and i like the style, even if i have people telling me it’s soooo 2000 ! except for the braiding part. your arms get tired and all but you can’t go with half your hair braided.

i mean i love my hair. it’s jet black, shiny but nappy. passing a comb through it brings tears to my eyes sometimes
and since it’s to thick, braiding it, (cornrows or regular braids takes ages).
right now i’m wearing a quick wig because i didn’t have time to do it !

or you have to find a skilled girl who does it at home. i had one also when i wore the ‘pony’ braids. she was good and cheap.

@YsoDamnSerious, begining of this year, decided to cut all my hair off. I’m trying to have my hair long enough to have african locks. I want the thicks ones so I’m waiting for my hair to grow long enough for that. The problem is that, this **** is too sore to comb and I don’t want no chemical assisstance, braids are my only hope of avoiding the comb like I avoide getting pregnant and the HIV.

Locs are a lot of maintenance.
I’m being cheap and trying to maintain them myself but I had to cut mine off and start over a couple of months ago cause my hair became really damaged and broke off really bad at the crown.
I might break down and start going to a shop but the miser in me is strongly against this.

Sandra I was there for this show. She performed her rass off. She gave a good show. I remember thinking ” wow she’s actually pretty in person”. The line didn’t stretch around the block until after 8pm and it only did that because Alex wouldn’t let us in, we stood out there for like an hour and some change. My invite said 8pm, when we got there they were still hanging signs and cleaning up lolll. They weren’t letting anyone in, didn’t matter who your connections were.
