Inside Monica and Shannon’s Fairy Tale Wedding
The Insider and one other national media (I forget which) had the exclusive on singer Monica’s wedding to NBA star Shannon Brown over the weekend! As you know, the happy couple renewed their vows in front of 300 family and friends in Los Angeles on Saturday (July 9). The couple previously said “I do” in a private ceremony at their home in November 2010.
When asked what Shannon whispered in her ear at the alter, Monica said, “he asked me was I his forever, and I answered.. a lot of good stuff.” She added: “I’m glad you couldn’t hear.”
Among the invited guests were Shannon’s best man, and former teammate, Kobe Bryant, and Kobe’s wife Vanessa, who arrived early and helped out doing things as Mo’s bridesmaid, since Khloe Kardashian dropped out at the last minute due to a death in the family.
Monica’s good friend La La Vazquez told The Insider’s Kevin Frazier, “Oh my God! Love was in the air. It was beautiful! I LOVE weddings!”

Nicki Minaj Punched in Mouth By Boyfriend *Updated*
According to TMZ.com, rapper Nicki Minaj was punched in the mouth by a man believed to be her longtime boyfriend, Safaree Samuel. Minaj told police she was punched in the mouth during an altercation yesterday at a hotel in Dallas, Texas.
Minaj is in Dallas to perform a concert tonight at the American Airlines Center. She is currently on tour with Britney Spears.
TMZ has learned … Minaj was hanging out at the pool at the fancy Palomar Hotel when she got into a very intense verbal spat with an unidentified man she was staying with.
Nicki told a hotel employee to call police … while the man went to their hotel room. Nicki followed soon after.
When cops and paramedics arrived, Nicki told authorities their poolside fight continued inside of their room … and the man hit her in her lower lip.
Prior to socking Nicki in the mouth, Samuel tweeted this from his Twitter account:
Samuel left the scene before cops arrived, and like most domestic abuse victims, she is refusing to press charges against him.

Wife cuts off husband’s penis, tosses it in garbage disposal

A California woman was arrested last night and charged with aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning, and spousal abuse.
Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, is being held at the Orange County Jail after cutting off her husband’s penis and tossing it in a garbage disposal.
The suspect called 911 to report a medical emergency at about 10 p.m. Monday, and told responding officers that he ‘deserved it,’” according to police.
When officers arrived, they found the man tied to a bed and bleeding from the groin area. He told officers his wife had given him a drug in the dinner she had made for him.
Investigators said she tied him to the bed after he fell asleep. When the man awoke, she grabbed his penis, and cut it off with a knife. She then threw it in the garbage disposal and turned on the disposal, police said. The bloody knife and rope was found in the couple’s home.
The 51-year-old victim is hospitalized in serious condition. The penis was too mangled to be saved.

Just 3 years ago, black Americans danced in the streets as they celebrated the election of the first black man as president of these United States.
Now those same supporters — mainly among the black bourgeoisie class — are ready to impeach U.S. President Barack Obama, who came into office with generous handouts for the rich bankers who caused the mortgage crisis.
In a Sun Times article about the disappearing black middle class, Princeton Professor Cornel West accused Obama of selling out the poor to become “a black mascot of Wall Street [bankers] and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.”
West told truthdig.com:
“I thought Barack Obama could have provided some way out. But he lacks backbone… I don’t think in good conscience I could tell anybody to vote for Obama.”
