Alarming new poll figures confirm President Obama's Democratic base is crumbling.

"More than a third of Americans now believe that President Obama’s policies are hurting the economy, and confidence in his ability to create jobs is sharply eroding among his base," the Post reports.

Strong support among liberal Democrats for Obama's jobs record has plummeted 22 points from 53% down below a third. African Americans who believe the president's measures helped the economy have plunged from 77% to barely half.

Obama's overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time, with 57% disapproving. And strong disapprovers outnumber approvers by better than two-to-one.

Who do you guys think will be the next president of the United States?

Grant Ruffin Hayes and his wife Amanda Perry Hayes were arrested Monday and charged with the grisly murder of Hayes' ex-girlfriend.

The partial remains of Laura Ackerson, 27, were found in a creek near Richmond, Texas, outside Houston. Police believe Grant Hayes, 32, and Amanda Hayes, 39, murdered Ackerson in Wake County on July 13, then drove her body to Texas where they hacked her to pieces and disposed of her remains in a creek.

Hayes was the father of Ackerson's two sons, Grant, 3, and 1-year-old Gentle. The children were the subjects of a tense custody battle dating back to 2010 when a judge granted Mr. Hayes temporary custody of the boys. Ackerson had the boys on the weekends.

The judge found Ackerson to be an unfit mother because she was unemployed and still lived with Mr. Hayes' parents. She was scheduled to attend a hearing on August 15, at which time she planned to ask for joint custody of her sons.

Hollywood's hottest mommy, Angelina Jolie-Pitt, was seen leaving the London Aquarium with her large brood, daughters Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt, 2. Zahara is quite a pretty young lady. We just wish she would smile more.

Over 700 marriage applications were filed Sunday in New York City -- the first day gay marriages were legally recognized in the Empire state.

Mishan Moore left, 39, exchanged vows with her partner Jacqueline Rodriguez, 34, during their wedding ceremony at Queens Borough Hall in New York on Sunday. NYC becomes the sixth in the U.S. to embrace same-sex marriage.

Meanwhile, according to Splash News, thousands of gay marriage opponents marched on Sunday in protest of the new law. They called on lawmakers to allow a vote on gay marriage on the next ballot.

Additionally, a conservative group filed a lawsuit against gay marriage. Members of the Leaders of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms asked the courts to halt gay marriage ceremonies while the case is heard. They also want any of the hundreds of same-sex marriages performed in New York over the past 48 hours to be declared void.

According to a loyal reader who asked to remain anonymous, Akon's brother, Def Jam VP or A&R Bu Thiam, not only A&R'd probably the biggest album of the year (Watch The Throne), but he's also a rapper!:

I'm a runner at a local Atlanta studio and loyal reader of your blog. I saw Bu in our studio a few weeks ago with Verse Simmonds, who records here faithfully. I never really cared for Verse until he dropped that BooThang record with Kelly Rowland and apparently his features just keep on getting better. Last night some engineers were fixing a mix on one of his songs, I'm guessing for his new mixtape and as they were playing it over and over I realized that its BU rapping on the 3rd verse of this song! The track is attached, I downloaded it before the engineers closed out their session.

Apparently music runs in his family because he actually sounds pretty good, he's doing the adlibs too. If your interested in posting this I would like to be anonymous as I could lose my job for this. But I wouldn't want any other blog to get ahold of it.

So So Def rapper Da Brat recently revealed her feminine side in a 'Summer Chic' shoot for VIBE.com. The Chicago native, born Shawntae Harris, 37, maintains that despite her usual tomboy style, getting girlie is second nature to her.

Was it uncomfortable transitioning into a "sex symbol" or is this just another side of you that we never see?

I'm such a fucking lady. I loved to get glammed up. I love manis and pedis. I like to go to Vicky Secrets and La Perla because I like lace and bikinis. I'm such a P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thug)

What is your favorite body part?

I don't have just one. I love all parts of my body! But on a man, I love the Adonis line. It's just so sexy!

Bow Wow's mom, Teresa Caldwell, whose clothing boutique was shuttered last year for non-payment of state taxes, took to her Twitter page this morning to respond to today's NY Post Blind Item:

That article was in the NY post & had nothing to do with Bow. Y'all know that I will never sit back & let Bow not take care of his daughter. I will never sit back & allow my son not to take care of his responsibility & if he couldn't I would work my butt [off] to make sure she was [straight]

Just so you know: We spoke with an intern for the NY Post this morning, and she gave us certain information that we can't repeat about today's Blind Item. We can not confirm the validity of any Blind Item that does not originate on Sandrarose.com. You can rest assured that your auntie would never post content just to increase pageviews like other blogs do. Thanks for reading!

According to Black Celeb Kids blog, R&B songstress Lauryn Hill, 36, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Saturday:

"Mother and baby are fine,” says the source, who adds that Hill and family “had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy.”

I guess the only question remains, who's the baby daddy? According to her other baby daddy, Rohan Marley, the baby isn't his. And just so you know Rohan isn't just making up lies to get attention, his girlfriend took to her Twitter page to profess her love for the Rastafarian womanizer.

As we told you last week, the official release date of the Watch The Throne collaboration LP by Kanye West and Jay Z might be pushed back. Today it was announced the set will be released on August 8 on iTunes, instead of August 2nd. It now makes sense that the super secret listening party for 'The Throne' will be held on August 1st at an undisclosed location.

Of course, yours truly was invited to attend the private listening session by our friends at Def Jam. We were assured that both Hip Hop Kings, Kanye West and Jay Z, would be in attendance (we really want to meet Kanye!).

When we asked (twice) if any other bloggers would be attending the private listening session, we received no response. So it is assumed that other bloggers are invited, and they just don't want to reveal who. (Not that it matters.)

In addition to the release date, a tour was also announced to support the much-anticipated project, which Def Jam execs are already calling a classic. The 21-city 'Throne Tour' kicks off in Detroit, Michigan on September 22, 2011, with a stop in Atlanta on October 9 at the Philips Arena.

Watch The Throne is available for pre-order at Watchthethrone.com.

ABC's Robin Roberts scored an exclusive interview with the hotel maid who accused former International Monetary Fund head Dominique Strauss-Kahn of raping her in a scandal that made headlines around the world.

"I want justice. I want him to go to jail," Nafissatou Diallo told ABC's Robin Roberts in an interview to air Monday on "Good Morning America," "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline." "I want him to know that there is some places you cannot use your money, you cannot use your power when you do something like this." Source

"God is my witness I'm telling the truth. From my heart. God Knows that. And he knows that," she told Roberts.

Rihanna was spotted outside her New York hotel wearing denim cutoffs and a plaid button down shirt. It's amazing how you can see all of a woman's flaws when you no longer like her. Rihanna's legs look like meat hooks. Not sexy at all.

Nicki makes sure she is no longer photographed with her loser boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, the one who bashed her in the mouth with her suitcase 2 weeks ago. He still travels with her though. But he carries his weed and drug paraphernalia in his own suitcase. Yes, that's a Louis Vuitton bag she's carrying. The shoes are hawt!

With time running out for releasing a new deficit plan before overseas markets open just a few hours away, House Speaker John Boehner is putting the blame on Barack Obama.

Boehner says Obama is stalling because he's worried about losing the upcoming presidential election in 2012.

In a speech Friday evening, Obama said that he would be willing to work on “any plans” that lawmakers brought him over the weekend. “The only bottom line that I have is that we have to extend this debt ceiling through the next election, into 2013,” President Obama said.

Boehner criticized Obama for recommending a debt ceiling deal be timed to last beyond the next election season.

“The president’s worried about his next election, but my God, shouldn't we be worried about the country?” Boehner said. “I'm not worried about the next election," Boehner continued: "I told the president months ago: Forget about the next election!”

But isn't that what narcissists do -- worry about themselves?

Sad news: British songstress Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment in Camden Square earlier today. She was only 27 years old.

The singer's body was found by British police around 8 p.m. London time after being called by ambulance services. Winehouse battled drug and alcohol addictions following the 2003 debut of her critically acclaimed album, Frank. Her follow up album, Back To Black, garnered 5 Grammy awards.

Winehouse was never able to balance her need for privacy and being thrust into the harsh glare of the worldwide stage.

She blamed her struggles with drugs and alcohol on being in love in her song "Rehab" which went on to win 3 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Winehouse's addictions -- and her attempts to self-medicate her emotional problems -- led to numerous stints in drug rehab (both voluntary and involuntary) -- and serving time in jail, along with her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.

Winehouse will be remembered for her jazzy, soul blues sound and her beehive hair style that took inspiration from the female soul singers of the 60s.

Last night, British songbird Estelle hosted a private concert affair at Atlanta's newest crown jewel, Club Reign (the new Vision). "This is not the Grand Opening, it's just a soft opening," said club owner Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment. He added: "AG Entertainment is working hard to finalize the preparations for the big Grand Opening!" So stay tuned for the details!

Celebs like comedians Bill Bellamy, left, and Chris Tucker showed up to support the talented chanteuse.

The lines stretched down the block and around the corner at 6 p.m. on Thursday as Estelle fans queued up in the blazing heat to see her perform for the first time in the Dirty South!

BBQ Wives stars Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton got into it at an Italian nightclub recently. Tami got Meeka in a headlock, and according to TMZ.com, Tami "assaulted, battered, beat, threatened, menaced, attacked, jumped on, pushed to the ground, thrashed, punched, and shoved" Meeka ... causing serious injury to the BBQ Wives newcomer.

So Meeka filed a frivolous lawsuit against Tami -- but not against Bravo who filmed the beat down. Hmm...

TMZ broke the story ... Meeka and Tami had been at odds with each other for a long time -- and according to sources close to the show, Tami tried to settle the score once and for all last month ... with a fist fight.

Meeka wants Tami to cough up unspecified damages, claiming the incident cost her a day of filming -- and put her through an emotional and physical hell.

So far, no word back from Tami's camp.

When is the justice system going to get tired of these reality stars using the system for publicity?

An irate McDonald's manager punched a customer in the face during a heated argument over a service dog that the customer brought into the Cobb County restaurant.

The customer, Jennifer Schwenker, told police that the incident occurred on July 12 at the McDonald's restaurant on Bells Ferry Road in Marietta, Georgia.

Schwenker said she took her autistic twin sons to lunch at the restaurant, along with their service dog.

The manager, Tiffany Allen, who was off duty (and carrying her toddler), approached Schwenker to tell her that the service dog was not allowed inside the fast food restaurant.

But Georgia law is clear on service dogs being allowed everywhere in Georgia, including inside restaurants. Schwenker said she informed Allen of the law that's been on the books for years.

Still, Allen continued to argue with Schwenker, even pursuing her down the hall and into the restroom.

When Schwenker lost track of one of her twins, she threw down her soda and went to look for him. That's when Allen, who thought Schwenker intentionally splashed her with the soda, placed her child on a counter and chased after Schwenker. Surveillance video shows two of Allen's co-workers attempting to hold Allen back.

How embarrassing...

Earlier this week, two NY women brawled over a subway seat -- and it was all caught on tape. The fracas appeared to start when one hoodrat, a mom with a baby stroller, pulled out a pocket sized can of mace and sprayed another subway rider in the face.

Subway passengers scatter as fists fly and the hair pulling begins. As the women brawl, screams of "Where's the baby?" fill the air. Meanwhile, the unattended baby stroller rolls out the door and onto the subway platform. Concerned passengers are seen running after the runaway stroller as the fisticuffs continue. Luckily, the baby wasn't injured.

Eventually, female passengers try to break up the altercation, but only after an elderly gentleman intervened first.

When it's all over, the aggressor (the one who was maced and who ultimately won the fight) picks up her wig off the filthy floor and dusts it off. The moral of the story is: if you're going to pull out a can of whip azz on a crazy bish, make sure it's the industrial strength kind that will put her on the floor and clear out the entire subway car.

If Rihanna didn't have bad luck, she would have no luck at all.

A Manhattan judge yesterday greenlighted famed photog David LaChapelle's multi-million dollar copyright suit against the troubled songstress.

According to the NY Post's Page Six:

In a ruling released yesterday, Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin said the surrealist shutterbug "successfully alleges" that the songstress, her record label and video director may have copied his provocative images for Rihanna's "S&M" video.

Scheindlin cited the "hot-pink and white striped walls," "women wearing frizzy red wigs" and "black tape wrapped around a man." Source

And yesterday, MTV delivered yet another blow to the 23-year-old pop star when the network released its nominations for the 2011 MTV VMA Awards. Rihanna received only two nominations for guest appearances on Kanye West’s “All Of The Lights” and Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie.”

MTV ignored her hits “Only Girl In The World,” “What’s My Name,” “S&M,” “California King Bed,” and “Man Down.”

They say Rihanna's unrealistic demands and Diva-like behavior is what led MTV to deliver the ultimate snub!

We believe it. We told you that her record label held a top secret meeting earlier this year to discuss their temperamental superstar.

A grisly video making its rounds on the Internets gives new meaning to the phrase 'dead man walking.'

The footage shows three men lined up on top of buses as a crowd of onlookers gather nearby. Ropes are looped around the men's necks and tied to the bridge supports above them. After their crimes are announced over a loudspeaker, the buses on which the condemned men stand are slowly driven away, leaving the men swinging by their necks as the crowd, including children, cheer.

The convicted men are literally forced to "walk it out" before the nooses tighten around their necks and robs them of their life breath.

The Middle East arm of Amnesty International has denounced the public executions of the three Iranian men convicted of rape and sentenced to hang by bus.
