Casey Anthony Sentenced to 4 Years for Lying to Police *Update*

Just as I predicted, mentally unstable Casey Anthony learned today that she will not walk free from prison after being acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony. Judge Belvin Perry, who is black, gave the baby killer the maximum sentence for lying to authorities — 4 years. With time served, Anthony will spend another year in her cramped 6×9 prison cell.

“As a result of those four separate and distinct lies, law enforcement expended a great deal of time, energy and manpower looking for young Caylee Marie Anthony,” Judge Belvin Perry said Thursday. “This search for her went on from July through December — over several months — trying to find Caylee Marie Anthony. Four distinct, separate, lies. Just as the jury spoke loud and clear on counts one, two and three on their verdict they also spoke loud and clear on the remaining counts.” Source

The media (and most Twitter users) believed Anthony would walk free today after receiving credit for time served. But luckily, Judge Belvin wasn’t a bleeding heart liberal who believes in giving baby killers second chances.

When Anthony was acquitted of murdering her daughter, she wore a smartly tailored button down shirt by Lauren by Ralph Lauren. The Eunice long sleeved ruffled shirt is made of 100% cotton, with pretty ruffles at the front and elegant French cuffs with a shirttail hem.

I know all of this because I purchased the same shirt at Macy’s just before Easter, at full price ($89.50). I was dismayed to see the same shirt on the sales rack for $44.99 less than 2 weeks later. It’s still there if you want to own a piece of history, so to speak.

Update: according to a court clerk, Casey Anthony will be released from jail on July 13. But we haven’t heard from the judge yet. So, we shall see.

Despite Nicki alluding to body bags and gunplay, the track was recorded before the bullet-riddled body of her cousin, Nicholas Telemaque, was discovered on a Brooklyn street last weekend. His killer is still on the loose.

Bow Wow is a proud first time daddy

Rapper Shad Moss, aka Bow Wow, has come full circle. Bow Weezy was a toddler barely out of diapers when he grabbed a mic to spit a few bars for rapper Snoop Dogg.

Now he’s a grown man, at 24, with a baby of his own. In an emotional open letter to his fans, Bow Wow gushed about the new love of his life, his daughter, Shai, whom he affectionately refers to as “boo boo.”

“God gave me the illest gift,” he wrote on his blog, “she inspires me to go harder. Even made me treat my mother better, its like it made me into a man over night.”

I missed out on so much that i now know how important it is to cherish and have those things in your life. Yes! I change diapers. Aint as bad as i thought hahaha. I want her to live with me so bad. Jus us 2. Thats my dream man but fellas yall know how it go. Baby gotta stay with they momma and all dat bull. I hate that! So i have to fly 5 hrs away to see her. Everyone showed up at Onyx last night, except Gucci Mane

Troubled rapper Gucci Mane is still locked up. That came as big news to local promoters and the hundreds of Gucci Mane fans who packed into Onyx strip club last night expecting to sip champagne with the “So Icey” rapper.

According to confidential sources, the club’s promoters spent about 10 G’s to ensure that Gucci would celebrate his newfound freedom at Onyx.

Other local nightclubs also lined up to sign Gucci Mane for club appearances this week. But Onyx’s promoters found out along with everyone else that Gucci wasn’t released from jail when he didn’t show up at the club last night. Now all the nightclubs that booked Gucci Mane for appearances this week are out thousands of dollars in booking fees. I hear they are not happy.

Gucci’s attorney, Ashutosh Joshi, claimed Gucci was supposed to be released from the Fulton County jail yesterday. But Gucci Mane remains in jail today, according to a rep from Fulton County Jail.

Gucci, real name Radric Davis, 31, was arrested and charged with assault after he pushed a woman out of his Hummer as it traveled down an Atlanta highway on Jan. 28.

MTV’s RapFix blog learned that there was a hold on Gucci and that he would be sent to the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, Georgia after he is released from the Fulton County Jail. The GDCP is where the criminally insane are sent for diagnostics and treatment. The prison also houses the state’s execution chamber.
