Ex-McDonald’s Manager Arrested
The aggressive former McDonald’s manager who punched out a customer on July 12, was arrested Monday after 2 weeks on the lam.
When the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant to arrest Tiffany Denise Allen for assault, they couldn’t lay hands on her right away. That is because Allen had hastily packed up and fled the area after hearing there was a warrant out for her arrest.
The fugitive was arrested Monday by Sheriffs in New Hanover County, North Carolina.
“She was taken to the New Hanover Sheriff’s Department and is currently in their custody,” Nancy Bodiford, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said in an email to the Atlanta Journal Wednesday.
Bishop Eddie Long Had a 5th Accuser (No Wonder He Settled)
Bishop Eddie Long fought the good fight when allegations of sexual misconduct were lodged against him by four young male members of his church last year. Long vigorously denied any and all accusations of sexual misconduct, and he swore that he would clear his good name — that was before his fifth accuser came forward and changed everything.
Centino Kemp is his name, and with his cross-dressing, Rihanna wig wearing, flamboyant, fiercely gay persona — Kemp presented a major problem for the Long defense team.
According to FOX 5 Senior I-Team reporter Dale Russell, who broke the story of the 5th accuser, Kemp has Eddie Long’s name tattooed on his wrist. And that’s just the beginning.
The decision was made by Eddie Long’s attorneys to settle quickly, and push the entire sordid affair under the proverbial rug, with signed confidentiality agreements to ensure that whatever went on in Eddie Long’s bedroom would stay in Eddie Long’s bedroom.
Young Jeezy Arrested for Driving While Black in Atlanta
Poor Young Jeezy: his victorious comeback TM 103 promo concert in New York City drew such Hip Hop heavyweights as Jay Z and Kanye West to the stage on Monday. But his big comeback was marred by an incident that occurred 2 days before the concert. According to celebrity blogger Michelle of Straightfromthea.com, the Thug Motivation rapper was pulled over and almost arrested in upscale Buckhead (an Atlanta suburb) on Saturday, July 24.
Michelle posted these Exclusive pictures of Jeezy being harassed by the Atlanta PD. Jeezy seems to be taking it well as he calmly explains his situation to the cops. We don’t know the details of Jeezy’s traffic infraction, or if he was even ticketed. It’s almost a routine occurrence to be pulled over if you’re driving while Black in Buckhead. Especially if you’re behind the wheel of a brand new $150,000 Ferrari California.
Mo’Nique Show Canceled
According to Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal’s Radio & TV Talk Blog, the Mo’Nique Show has been canceled. That’s too bad. We never got the chance to watch it…
Earlier today, I heard that “The Mo’Nique Show” had been axed. I had sent an email out to various BET publicists to ask what was up. No word back.
At about 1:30 p.m., I called Rodney Perry, who was Mo’Nique’s sidekick on the show. He said he was running into a meeting and didn’t answer my question. While I was at lunch over at the mall court, at 1:40 p.m. EST, he texted me: “I was told indefinite hiatus.”
That’s a euphemism for canceled.
In an interview I did at 2:40 p.m., the stand-up comic said he enjoyed the experience working with Mo’Nique. “I’m selling out shows now,” he said. “That’s a win.” He heard the news from Mo’Nique’s husband but hasn’t spoken to the Oscar-winning actress yet. (He wouldn’t say when he knew about this, implying he has known for awhile.)
Rihanna featured in Battleship Trailer
The trailer for the sci-fi action flick Battleship has hit the Internets, featuring singer Rihanna in her first acting role. First of all, you only see a fleeting glimpse of Rihanna wearing her battle fatigues after the 1:10 mark (if you blink, you miss her); and secondly, Battleship is clearly targeted to the hormone-driven, online gaming crowd under the age of 16.
There’s nothing to see here.

Celebs Out & About: Keri Hilson
Singer Keri Hilson was spotted outside the New York offices of Elle magazine yesterday. Is it just us or does Keri look distraught? Yesterday we reached out to Keri Hilson’s camp to offer words of encouragement after she was unmercifully dragged all over the social networking site Twitter.com for tweeting an insensitive message about deceased singer Amy Winehouse.
If anyone knows how it feels to be brutally ripped apart on Twitter for no reason, it’s your auntie. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get through to anyone in Keri’s camp, but we’ll keep trying. Hold your head up, girl!
