Celebs Out & About: Beyoncé, Trey Songz
Lounge singer Beyoncé, 29, performed during the 2nd of her four sold out concerts at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City last night. Beyoncé, whom industry insiders say is the nicest narcissist they have ever met, paused onstage to admire her own image in artwork handed to her by a fan.
By sheer coincidence, the above photo of Beyoncé is almost an exact rendition of paintings of the Greek mythological figure Narcissus, an intensely beautiful boy who was doomed to love only his own reflection for the rest of his life after he spurned the advances of an angel. Narcissus stared at his own reflection for so long that he neglected food and drink. He ultimately died of starvation. (This is also where the word narcissist is derived from, in case you didn’t make the connection.)

I’m NOT a fan of Bey, but wouldn’t you have had something negative to say if a fan gave her a portrait of herself, and she didn’t acknowledge it? @Wut- I love the Burlesque title. Makes me chucle everytime I see it. I don’t really use the word fat to describe people. I usually say fluffy, but I think I’m going to have bite off Sandra and use burlesque now. I think it’s cuter. (Even though I know she doesn’t mean it that way :lol)

I went to a Devin The Dude concert and a won an original print of the tour poster and when I took it up to the stage to get signed he stood there and admired it for about 3 mins before he held it up for the crowd to see. He was really touched

How do we know she didn’t just say something (like “Thank you”) and keep it moving? a pic is a millisecond snapshot of what’s going on. i see could see if there was actual video footage and she took 30 minutes admiring the pic, comparing it to her real features, etc. but i digress, Bey can’t win for losing with folks. guess that’s why she does what she wants and those who don’t like it can kick rocks. you gotta have a really thick skin to be an entertainer these day with the innanets always rippin you to shreds for every little thing they can think of.

Anybody in here been watching Bad Girls Club? Everytime I watch this season all I can think is about is all the crawfish I’d be eating if I was in New Orleans for 3 whole months…..
