Queen Latifah: ‘It doesn’t matter to me what the blogs are writing’
Former rapper and aspiring media mogul Queen Latifah recently sat down with Sister 2 Sister magazine’s Jamie Foster Brown for an in-depth interview. We love Jamie, but her interviews can be tedious at times. Jamie always plays it safe and she never asks the right questions, such as “Let’s discuss those rumors about your break up with your longtime lover, Jeanette Jenkins.”
Queen Latifah did touch on her love/hate relationship with social media, saying “It can be very overwhelming, but it can also be great for business.”
As for her stance on bloggers, in particular, the 44-year-old executive producer of VH1′s “Single Ladies” stopped just short of calling bloggers bullies.
“The thing about social media is there are a lot of people who felt voiceless,” she said. “Now, they have a voice, and some people will just say anything for shock value.”

I will first start off by saying that I absolutely love your blog!! Even when you are bias, at the end of the day we all are to a certain extent. When everyone in the office going for their first cup of coffee, I on the other hand am also getting my first dose on your blog, lol. This industry is the nature of the beast and can easy manipulate women to fall in between the cracks and accept the no’s. I want to let every aspiring model out there striving to know that it’s never over until YOU, yourself throw in the towel and say it is. In an earlier post about Alex Gidewon’s 40th birthday bash at Reign Nightclub in Atlanta, we noted that both Reign and Dubai (formerly Vanquish) nightclubs were designed by Michael Stribling. That was incorrect. The clubs were designed by Michael Habachy of Habachy Designs, Inc. We regret the error.

I came across this article on Alex Gidewon’s Birthday Bash, and I think that there are a few corrections that you need to make to the article previously written. You had listed that Michael Stribling was the person responsible for the design of the club. Our design firm has been working on both Reign and Vanquish (now referred to as Dubai) for the past couple of years. A lot of blood, sweat and tears has gone into the design of these clubs, and we feel as though we were slighted in your article. You can verify this with both Alex and Michael Gidewon. Also deserving mention in your article should be Amy Rader of Rader Designs, who contributed to all of the Graphic Murals and Dave Daniels of David Daniels Design, who is responsible for all of the architecture. The months and months of collaboration should not go unnoticed and we all deserve the proper accolades.

Why does Kelly Rowland keep lying about her boyfriend?
Two months ago we told you the real reason why singer Kelly Rowland dumped her manager, Upfront Records’ Devyne Stephens. We told you she dumped Devyne because her longtime boyfriend, Tim Weatherspoon, told her to.
It seems that Tim and Devyne were constantly at odds with each other. They didn’t see eye to eye on the direction to take Kelly’s booming career in — even though Weatherspoon is a songwriter and not a manager.
Then, earlier this week, Rowland gave an interview to London’s The Mirror tabloid, in which she mentions having a “friend with benefits.” The X-Factor star said: “I’m actually single, but you know you have your little things on the side. There’s nobody I’m dating, but I have a special friend.”
Well, Kelly was seen in New York yesterday with the “nobody” that she’s dating (Weatherspoon). On both occasions, Kelly and the “nobody” pretends they’re not together. But in one photo he’s seen carrying her red handbag. And in both pictures, Kelly has changed clothes, but he’s wearing the same outfit.
Their behavior can only be seen as bizarre.
The question is, why won’t Kelly just admit that Weatherspoon is her longtime boyfriend? Aren’t they two mature adults? How would it harm her career if she announces she’s dating a man? Unless that man is married or in a committed relationship with someone else…..
