Photo of The Day: Michelle gives Barack the cold shoulder

While some of the country was fixated on a wedding that is destined to end in divorce, U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama did nothing to diminish reports that their own marriage is on the rocks. For starters, the couple arrived on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts on Friday in separate jets — sparking rumors of discord between the commander-in-chief and his wife. Then the media made much ado about this REUTERS photo showing Mrs. Obama icily shutting her husband out while listening to music on her iPod as they left their vacation home yesterday. It was one of the rare times the Obamas were seen together publicly on the well-to-do island.

Doubt if they are having problems. Obama probably had to tie up loose strings at his MAJORLY IMPORTANT JOB, while Michelle wanted to take the kids to get a head start on the vacation. Also, when hubby and I are traveling, I am on my Iphone, reading, etc. You don’t have to converse and be giddy with your spouse 24-7 to have a successful relationship.

Well Auntie, I did hear that Michelle was twisted out of sorts about how Jennifer Hudson held her husband’s hand during the birthday song she sang him.

I heard he was overcome with gratitude, and couldn’t hide it, but to Michelle there appeared to be some googly-eyeing.

Honestly with the amount of threats on this man’s life and an election coming up where the Republican’s dont have any strong candidates, them flying in on separate jets is probably so that if some nutjob takes him down, his wife and children are safe it’s what I would do if I was in his position..

And husbands and wives who are secure in their marriage and have been together as long as these two have don’t have to talk every second of the day when they’re together. Maybe she was watching something, maybe she was finishing listening to something, maybe he was in the middle of something and she didn’t need to be involved. These pictures say nothing on their marriage but alot about people who would want to read into it and speculate on reasons why these two can’t be happy with each other… j/s

When my hubby and I travel, usually I have my IPod because he is usually sleeping. As much as we are in love, every minute of every day is not spent gazing into each other’s eyes.
Every moment between a couple is not a photo-worthy moment.
