Will Smith and Jada Pinkett respond to breakup rumors
After struggling with breakup rumors all day, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith released a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight confirming their 13-year marriage is still intact.
In a joint statement from Will and Jada, they tell Entertainment Tonight, “Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.” Source

Even before his famous parents spoke up, their son Trey Smith deaded the rumors on his Twitter page this morning. In two successive tweets, an irked Trey addressed the rumors:

I get it, they aren’t breaking up…BUT I will say this…usually when these reports circulate and they turn out to be “untrue” it’s because there is SOME kind of issue swirling about…I remember when the rumors started swirling about Jen and Brad months before the split and they both were shooting down the rumors and taking trips together, etc. Everything looked like a big ol’ misunderstanding, but then we all know what happened soon thereafter. I hope Will & Jada are all good, but something tells me there’s more to this story…

It’s sad about Nick Ashford. If anyones interested there used to be a video on youtube with Vesta and Aaron Hall paying tribute to Ashford and Simpson by singing several of the songs they wrote. I’m not near a comp, so I can’t check if it’s still there. And although Aaron kinda sang the same note throughout, Vesta was very entertaining and makes it worth watching the entire 5 mins or so…

I agree. Something in the milk ain’t clean. Also, we need to stop looking at celebrities as to what a relationship should look like. You don’t know how people treat each other behind closed doors. Holding hands in public don’t mean you’re in love, just like listening to an Ipod while sitting next to your husband doesn’t mean you’re NOT in love. I think only you can determine what works in your marriage. Marriages in the old days lasted because women had nowhere to go. Both sets of my grandparents have/were together for over 30 years. I would never look to them as an inspiration. They are not happy. I think both my grandmothers stayed because they had no other means to take care of themselves. Now my paternal grandfather, I looked at him as how a man treats a woman. He treated me like the sun rose and set on me.

my maternal grandparents were together over 65 years and they had the most DYSFUNCTIONAL SHYT going on i’ve ever seen. my grandma damn near killed my grandpa with her verbal and physical abuse but he never left her and HE was the breadwinner. when he finally died (due to her aggravating the shyt out of him), she refused to eat until she died shortly thereafter.

OMG! same thing! except my grandpa stepped out one time when they were in their 20s and my grandma went over there and caught him. 60 years of pure hell after that! my brother says, now that they’re in heaven (hopefully), my grandpa has the upper hand, lol! he deserves it.
