Beyonce: My pregnancy was difficult to conceal

Let’s pretend we didn’t know Beyonce was an attention starved narcissist. What woman would want to conceal her pregnancy? Seriously, what part of the game is that? Does she know how crazy she sounds?

In an exclusive interview with CNN, Beyonce dished about her pregnancy and her struggle to fit her baby bump into her fast paced celebrity lifestyle.

On shopping for maternity gear to wear:
Actually I am having so much fun, it has been the most fun time now that it has been announced and I don’t have to, you know, it was really difficult to conceal, but now that I can be proud and excited about it I’m having so much fun shopping — it’s great.

On why she is relieved to have finally gone public with pregnancy:

On her attitude towards style and fashion since learning she was pregnant:
I just feel like it is often within. My mother has always told me that beauty comes from within and what’s exciting about being a woman is you can say today I feel like being, today I feel really conservative, today I’m feeling classy, today I am going on a date and I want to just be a showstopper and you know there is this variety of beautiful clothes that can bring out whatever you feel inside but it comes from here and you should wear your clothes they shouldn’t wear you.

Everyone is different when it comes to being pregnant so I won’t even try to look crazy saying what one person feels is what everyone feels. Some people enjoy their pregnancies, others don’t and some people are somewhere in BTW. I feel it depends on your circumstance and the people around you. Fades from that. lol Now as far as concealing, people do it all the time, no rhyme or reason and for some big reasons. I do know in many families you wait to announce after you get past the ‘critical’ time but in reality it is always going to be a critical time. Whether you like Bey or not, she has a solid fan base so they if not anyone else want to know whatever they can about her pregnancy. I hope she gives just enough and just focus on her FUN and her moments. Have a great Monday everyone.

When I was preggers I felt the most sexy…I dont know why…I had the most fun…I got fired when I was 3 months and it was dead winter here in Chicago…. I was like I went to Vegas, and flew to Dallas to have my baby shower with my family…I was very active with OES…hell on my due date I was at a picnic cooking and chit…

I enjoyed being preggers…I loved all the attention and not having to lift a finger and chit…I was sorta sad that my “high” came down after I had the baby….

@Chi. I know what you’re saying. I carried well. Just got a huge belly and boobs. But I was tired, moving out… trying to do a lot of things.
At the end, I could see my feel, not even talking about taking care of them. Couldn’t fit in the tub…. The worst months were june through october. it was hot as hell.

If you are in shape BEFORE you have your baby then it wont take you long to snap back…now you may never get the flat washboard stomach you have now, but then again you may…and if you eat right and exercise during the pregnancy you shouldnt gain THAT much…I only gained 23lbs, but hey I was big girl before, so I didnt have to gain that much…

But when you look at the baby, all that chit aint gonna matter anyway…cause that baby gonna come first…or at least it should…

My son had me all flucked up. My face was fat as hell, I stayed swollen, carried big as hell, my nose spread across my face, my skin got darker, I began having Braxton Hicks at 6 months because I carried so big, I turned into a mean bish, and I was in labor for 53 and a half hours.
But the kicks were great.

I’m still petrified. I used to say I wanted my first kid by 25…then at 21, it changed to 27/28, then at 24, it changed to 30/31. By the time I hit 27, it’ll prolly be 40. LOL!

I just need to see more “good” examples of pregnancy with “good” after images and I may be convinced, but right now…. I just can’t. If I ended up preggo tomorrow, I’d prolly cry and cry and cry and be depressed and sad and scared and possibly need some therapy!

From 1 to 4 months I gained 6 pounds.
5 months : 0.
6 month : 14 my doctor was like WTH. i had to get all kind of blood testing for gest. diabetes and stuff. but nothing was wrong.
She stopped weighing me at 7 month

I had braxton hicks at 7 month. so I stopped working 2,5 months before my son was born….

@ Saso, its all what you make it. A big part of it will depend on your support and your significant others support. My fiance was super supportive and excited about expecting. He told me how sexy I was (mostly because I didnt get alot of weight and was all belly) and ran out and got whatveer I was craving (alot of OJ) LOL. If you have someone who is uniterested and non-supportive or not around it will make it ten times worse! Trust!

I would have died being in labor that long…

That was the scariest part for me…cause I came in the hospital to have my baby induced (I was past due 10 days) and after they got my water to break I thought everything was all good…well all of a sudden the nurses and doctors kept coming in my room checking the monitors so I knew something was wrong…They was coming in like every 30 minutes…so I asked them what was wrong and they said that my baby’s heartbeat kept going down everytime I had a contraction…then once the contraction was over it’ll shoot back up…Finally they rushed in the room like I was on Grey’s Anatomy and took me to the OR…they had to take my baby cause her hear rate was dropping very low…I had a damn panic attack on the operating table…cause I couldnt believe that I was gonna have to have a c-section…that was not the way I planned it…but God does every thing for a reason cause when she was born she had very low blood platellets and because she didnt have to experience any trauma going through the birth canal they allowed her to go home with me when I was finally released…I was NOT gonna go home without my baby…that would have destroyed me!!!

How you be beautiful? I guess it depends on the person.

I went from 140lbs to 145lbs with my first pregnancy, only went up one pants size, I didn’t do maternity clothes. I was sick as hell the whole time too. Threw up everydamned day until a week before I delivered, I was in labor for 17hours (with induced labor) and it was all natural, no drugs.

2nd pregnancy was a breeze, went from 150lbs to about 165, was back down to normal size within a week. ONly back parts were,

1. My daddy hit a pothole with me in the car at 6mos preggo, I pulled something in my pelvis and contracted from then til the end.

2. 12hours of labor, no drugs

3. OH, I used to get milk cravings in 100 degree weather and it would always come RIGHT back up.

Saso, I have 2 colleagues who got pregnant this year. one had her baby girl last friday, at 39 and the other one is due in november, she’s 41. and believe me, THAT was hard. you don’t have as much energy as when you’re younger. If you really want kids, don’t wait too long !

@ Vero…I had early braxton hicks too and my doc wouldnt believe me! It wasnt until I was at my 37 week checkup and my doc went to “check my dialation” his eyes got so big once he realized I was 6 cm dialated! Walking around like that too. I wasnt even in active labor yet I could have probably went another week.

U lucky bish…I was in labor 19 long ass hours….I got the epidural at like hour 9 though…I wasnt even finna act tough…funny thing is though as soon as I got that epidural my body relaxed so much that I threw-up and urinated on my self at the same time….I started crying cause I was embrarassed the nurse was like this normal stop crying you big baby….

Besides the hyperemesis, the near lung embolism, pancreatis, and the almost kidney failure, my PREGNANCY was great seroiusly, all the demerol,ambien, morphine, (insert whatever other narcotics <<>>>) one could ever imagine! I even had pumps for my meds!!! By the time that stuck that big needle in my back for the epidural i didn’t even hurt because I had been poked and prodded so much for 8 mos… and no, I never got my WASHBOARD stomach back, and I had a stomach that put Janet Jackson’s to shame….but than again I did have twins and a C section, and C sections are really hard to pop back from, because the muscles are actually torn.

Every week of the last month when I went to the doctor he was like you havent dialated yet…I was like WTF is wrong with me…but I remember going to the doctor at 15 years old and he told me that my cervix is really small and that I probably wouldnt have a baby vaginally…I guess he was right…cause Ladybug was not coming out…

The clinic I went was also the same place I was born. Very old fashion. When you have that anesthesiologist (??) visit, they warn you right away : we don’t do epidural just because you want it. Baby has to be in foetal distress (??)

I know I was lucky. It was short but so intense. If they had told me to drink, sniff or eat the drugs i would have ! THey say you forget the pain once the baby’s born…. 4 years later, I still remember everything vividly

Xamayca, I started having the contractions at 7 months… But being pregnant for the 1st time and not having my mom any longer I didn’t know what it was. I went to see my doctor (not the gyno) and tried to explain… he didn’t understand. Until i was like there there,feel it…
he smiled and said oh, that. It’s a contraction… I felt a little stupid. but that was also the end. Very powerful drugs to stop the contractions and no more work until the baby was born.

OH God, I just remembered when I was in labor with the first one, my water wouldn’t break for nothin! I had this foreign nurse, she stuck her hand up my and broke my mucus bag with her hand. I wanted to kick her in the face for that shyt. She was right though, things went alot faster after.

I’ll never foget I was in HORRIBLE pain one night, and the nurses didn’t want to give me any meds..because they said I had reached my limit…anyhoo, they called one of my dr’s and they happened to call Dr. Bessent, she told the nurse and I quote: ” Don’t call me up here anymore talking about Nicholson and pain medicine. Give her what she wants. If she tells you that she wants some crack, I suggest you get your azz out on the street and score her some crack.” No lie… I am dead serious… I miss those guys, anyone in the 704 area code. I highly suggest Northcross Obstetrics in Huntersville…Dr. Mallard and Dr. Bessent LOVE them! They took REALLY REALLY REALLY good care of me while I was pregnant.

Okay, here’s my story: Easy pregancy, nothing but a big belly (that appeared overnight while 4 mos pregnant), and my left foot grew half a size bigger ( it is still bigger than my right foot!) My boobage did not gra AT ALL! I was 1 wk and 1 day overdue when my Dr. realized my baby was breach. This was music to my ears, because I was terrified of having to push a baby out (I didn’t think about that part until 4 mos pregnant )The following day I had a c-section (piece of cake) and was told that if I could walk and cough (had to hold pillow over belly) that I could go home the next day. And that’s what I did, went home the next day and was back to my pre-pregnacy size within a few months

I was SHARB throughout my pregancy!!!

I never had morning sickness, my water never broke, the dr. had to break it. I went home 24 hrs. after delivery. I never had false labor. This happened 3 times, or didn’t happen 3 times. LOL.

Alot of people don’t tell others that they are pregnant until they are about 4 months because so many things can go wrong during the first trimester. Everyone always has an opinion on how celebrities should or should not act. Im confused Sandra, I thought she wasn’t pregnant? My mother didn’t know I was pregnant with my last two daughters until I was almost 6 months along.

Pregnancy WAS NOT fun for me at all. I remember when I pregnant with my 2nd daughter (i have three kids) I picked my sister up from the Airport and the first thing she said as she got into my car from the curb was “Dang your nose is big.” I cried all the way home. She apologized but it was too late. I was fat, depressed and unhappy the entire time I was pregnant. I cried everyday. Thank God my baby girl came out a happy baby who slept through the night. She is still a happy go lucky child at the age of 18.
