Celebs Out & About: Miss Universe Leila Lopes, Solange Knowles
Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes of Angola made her press rounds in New York for her first official duties as the newly crowned beauty queen. Her first stop was at the U.S. embassy to pick up her VISA so she can earn a paycheck and support her family while she’s here.
Ms. Lopes was photographed with her mom and siblings at the poolside on Friday. Leila already seems wary of the swarming NY paparazzi.
Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles was spotted attending a party in West London early Friday morning. She rocked a curly afro wig from her sister’s collection of exotic hair pieces and lacefronts and a canary yellow gown.

Solange looks so classy! I always liked her, and I often forget that she’s Bey’s sister because she does such a good job of being her own person.
@Daisy, I think Solange tries hard to be different because some people still see her as “Beyonce’s sister.” I don’t blame her for trying hard to assume her own identity showing the world that she’s Solange and NOT Beyonce.
I always liked her style and the fact that she marches to the beat of her own drum. She’s gorgeous to me.

I watched the Miss Universe pageant and this young lady deserved to win, I was cheering her on and was so happy she won, yay!
I was pi$$ed when people tried to say she was not black because her last name is Lopes
