According to the National Enquirer, legendary singer Diana Ross is furious at her 38-year-old daughter Tracee Ellis Ross for dating Akon’s younger brother, Bu Thiam, whom she refers to as a polygamist.
According to the National Enquirer, which dropped the ‘tabloid’ label years ago, Ross allegedly told Tracee: “If you walk down the aisle with that guy, you’ll end up being part of his harem!”
“Diana is livid that Tracee is getting so serious with Bu,” a source close to Ross told The ENQUIRER.
The family friend added:
“Tracee has reassured her mom and the rest of the family that she and Bu aren’t making any wedding plans. And she told her mother that if she does walk down the aisle with Bu, there’s no need to worry – she’d make sure she’s his only wife.”
Bu is not just Akon’s younger brother. He stepped out of his brother’s shadow to carve out a niche for himself at Def Jam Records where he A&R’d Jay Z and Kanye West’s critically acclaimed album The Throne.
This morning, on his Twitter page, Bu tweeted: “In The Studio with @rihanna, We Back At it!!!!!!!!!”
