New Music: Rihanna – We Found Love
The much-anticipated new single by Rihanna hit the Internet this morning. The techno pop track is off her as yet untitled 6th studio album, which is scheduled for release in November. The single was produced by and features Calvin Harris on raps.
This track is obviously not for us.

Welp. Maybe single #2 will catch my attention. I’m from the Chicago area and this “jacking/house” music will go well in the white clubs there, but I’ve always HATED this kind of music – it sounds like the same song over and over and over with different lyrics.

I’m probably in the minority, but I LIKE this song…it’s got a dancehall/house/techno sound to it…and I’m a Rihanna fan, so I like most of her stuff anyway…

I like listening to some old school music when I’m cleaning…some Earth Wind and Fire, Frankie Beverly, Isley Brothers, DeBarge….They mellow me out!!!
it’s not the “song” that’s the problem, but them damn vocals of hers that sounds like a cat in heat ready to mate. She drives me insane with that wailing of hers.

I like listening to them too…I’ve always been a fan of techno though, and I don’t need to be drunk (even though it sounds that much BETTER when you’re drunk) to enjoy listening to it. I used to actually frequent a techno club in my area when I was younger because I liked the upbeat feel of the dancefloor. For instance I will play Madonna’s song ‘Hung Up’ in my car on repeat…that song just makes me feel good!

I agree with everyone else in that it prob would sound better if I had a drink or two however I dont think its that bad. I’m from Chicago too and I have friends who love this music but I don’t think its just a Chicago thing.

I wasnt really a fan of his or hers before the beat down…(well I loved SOS and Unfaithful, and Take a Bow and loved Excuse Me Miss and Poppin By CBreezy) But after she played innocent victim after the beat down it totally turned off from her and made me fall in love with CBREEZY!! I hated the way the media tried to tear that boy down but he kept fighting for his image…and finally has prevailed…Then he came out with that NO BULL CHIT video…I was really sold then!!!

In my opinion Rih has stepped up her vocals… Her voice and tunes are much more defined and actually sounds pretty. She’s doing a good job and obviously has passion. Good for Rihanna!
