Why Lil Wayne’s ‘Carter 4′ Outsold Kanye and Jay Z’s ‘Throne’
Forbes published an interesting article breaking down why Lil Wayne outsold Kanye and Jay Z’s critically-acclaimed album Watch The Throne. Wayne topped the charts this week with his fourth studio album Carter IV which scanned 940,000 copies.
Forbes theorized that the combined egos of Jay Z and Kanye West caused them to lose touch with their fanbase — a problem that Weezy doesn’t seem to have. In addition to that, Kanye and Jay Z’s ill-advised strategy of releasing the album first to iTunes might have hurt their sales:
Carter IV. Jay-Z and Kanye pursued a complicated release strategy that included exclusive windows with Apple’s iTunes and BestBuy, in part to safeguard against the possibility of a leak (and angered some retailers in the process). The Young Money/Cash Money team did nothing of the sort, and didn’t expend much energy on security, either.
Entertainment attorney Bernie Resnick told Forbes that the artists’ personalites also played a part:

Poor Evelyn did everything she could to become famous, in the belief that fame is what was missing in her life. But once Evelyn gained the fame that she so craved it dawned on her that she was just as miserable being famous as she was when she was a nobody.

I enjoy reading your blogs but one thing that i have yet to understand is your beef with beyonce. What did she do to you to deserve such disdain or criticism? Even posts that aren’t about her(kelly) it seems as if u go out of your way to give her one good tongue lashing. The hatred and posion that is spit at this woman is very obvious and i would like to know what has she personally done to you to set you off. Everybody is not a beyonce stan. We get it. Why go out of your way to bash a person or tear them down if they are not your cup of tea? Wouldn’t it just be better and easier to just not do any posts on her at all? It’s not a good look.

Oprah has ‘mixed feelings’ about Carson Kressley on ‘DWTS’
OWN Network founder Oprah Winfrey has “mixed feelings” about one of her hosts appearing on ABC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ this season, which begins next week.
According to the Huffington Post, Oprah is uncomfortable with Your OWN Show host Carson Kressley appearing on the dance show, because she is uncomfortable with reality TV shows in general.
“A few years ago, when she was doing her own show, she didn’t care for it at all,” a source told HuffPo.
“Manipulating people who are so desperate to be famous and making then look foolish on TV is just not something she is comfortable doing.”
But isn’t that what Oprah did on her own show? Didn’t she manipulate people who were desperate to be famous? Isn’t she desperate to remain relevant after ending the 25-year run of her wildly successful show on the advice of a dying kid?
Kressley, who gained fame as host of TV’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” will compete next week against notables such as NBA star Ron Artest, former talk show host Ricki Lake and transgender Chaz Bono.
Kelly Rowland Covers Runway Magazine
Singer Kelly Rowland has scored yet another magazine cover and she didn’t have to fake a baby bump to do it.
Kelly covers the Fall issue of Runway fashion magazine. The 30-year-old beauty deserves all the accolades and achievements that came her way this year! But things weren’t always looking up for Kelly, who grew up in the shadow of former bandmate Beyoncé. Having a narcissistic friend like Beyoncé can be a drain on anyone.
In the interview Kelly explains that she felt inadequate and insecure being in Beyonce’s shadow in her childhood:
“There’s so much peer pressure growing up, I had an identity crisis. I went to a predominantly white school and I was the only black girl. I can remember thinking: ‘I don’t want to be as dark as I am – I want to be a little fairer.’ I didn’t want to be me…Tina sat me in front of the mirror and said: ‘Girl, look at how pretty you are.’ She made me feel comfortable in my own skin.”
Rihanna is NOT Esquire Magazine’s Sexiest Woman Alive
All over the Internet blogs claim that troubled singer Rihanna was chosen Esquire magazine’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” for 2011. Unlike those other blogs we actually did our research, and according to Esquire’s website, Rihanna did not even come close in the final vote count.
Rihanna was one of 64 women in the hotly contested “Sexiest Woman Alive” competition. But she didn’t even make it to the Final bracket. Click here to see who actually won the Esquire Sexiest Woman Alive for 2011.
Oh, by the way, Rihanna took off her top for the Enquire cover photoshoot which was supposed to look sexy, but didn’t quite hit the mark. If you recall, this was the shoot that Rihanna caught heat for after she tweeted that she starved herself to look skinny for the cover.

Diana Ross furious with Tracee for dating Akon’s brother?
According to the National Enquirer, legendary singer Diana Ross is furious at her 38-year-old daughter Tracee Ellis Ross for dating Akon’s younger brother, Bu Thiam, whom she refers to as a polygamist.
According to the National Enquirer, which dropped the ‘tabloid’ label years ago, Ross allegedly told Tracee: “If you walk down the aisle with that guy, you’ll end up being part of his harem!”
“Diana is livid that Tracee is getting so serious with Bu,” a source close to Ross told The ENQUIRER.
The family friend added:
“Tracee has reassured her mom and the rest of the family that she and Bu aren’t making any wedding plans. And she told her mother that if she does walk down the aisle with Bu, there’s no need to worry – she’d make sure she’s his only wife.”
