Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles was among the well-heeled celebs attending Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research’s Angel Ball 2011 at Cipriani on Wall Street last night in NYC. Solange looked like an Angel herself in a pearl white, one sleeved frock. Solange also rocked her custom made lacefront afro wig that Diana Ross would be proud of.
Solange attended the Ball with her mom Tina, who most likely designed her stunning dress.
Another Dumb Rapper Arrested
Another dumb rapper is cooling his heels in jail this morning after being busted overnight with a ton of weed and cash in his car.
According to TMZ.com, DeAndre Cortez Way, aka Souljah Boy, 21, was riding dirty in a car with 4 other men when their ride was pulled over by observant Temple Police Officers in Temple, GA at 3:15 a.m.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the car was pulled over for a traffic violation. Officers searched the car and found a “substantial amount” of marijuana and cash inside the vehicle.
DeAndre, whose last album sold a grand total of 15,000 copies, was arrested and hauled away to the Carroll County Jail — along with his compadres — where he is currently being held without bond.
Rick Ross made it safely to his Wing Stop restaurant opening
The Wing Stop in Memphis that rapper Rick Ross invested in was already open for business by the time he made it there from an Alabama hospital in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 16.
TMZ.com reported the “Boss” suffered two seizures while on board two separate jets that delayed his arrival in Memphis over the weekend. But, yesterday, music producer Khaled tweeted this pic of a frail looking Ross at his Wing Stop restaurant.
We’re not sure why bloggers think Ross’s seizures are related to his massive wight. Seizures are caused by electrical disturbances in the brain — not in the stomach.
One would think that if the first seizure didn’t encourage Ross to slow down and rest then the second round would cinch that situation. But no, as DJ Khaled tweeted a photo of the two at a Memphis Wing Stop restaurant last night (Oct. 16) with the caption “My brother ROZAY!! IS GOOD!!!,” meaning Ross had finally made it to Memphis–and most likely not on doctor’s orders. His former romantic interest Elise Neal even spoke about Ross’ situation, “I think they’re [Def Jam and Ross’s camp] pushing him too hard. They don’t think about him or his health, pushing him to do all these videos, pushing tours and shows’…’He is not 20 years old anymore…”
Is America Ready for Another Black President?
My how time flies. Just 3 years ago, black Americans couldn’t get enough of president-elect Barack Obama. And now Americans can’t get enough of black presidential candidate Herman Cain.
Today, new polls show the former pizza maker surging ahead of President Obama and his closest GOP rival Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.
Whether Herman Cain’s surge in the polls is temporary or has staying power, he’s enjoying a big enough bounce to take a very slight lead over President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 matchup. At the moment, the Georgia businessman is the only Republican with a lead of any kind over Obama, although former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has held a similar advantage several times and is currently trailing the president by just two points.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows Cain attracting 43% support, while Obama earns 41%.
According to Rasmussen Reports, Cain is tied with Romney for the lead in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. Nobody else is even close at the moment.

Beyonce baby bump watch 2011
Beyonce Knowles-Carter and her bodyguard, Julius, were spotted heading into an office building in New York City this afternoon. Beyonce, whose music video for her single “Love On Top” dropped over the weekend, wore a slightly sheer top which shows her fake baby bump. If you click the image and look closely under her breasts, you can see the black line where her fake baby bump begins. Get it together, Beyonce!

T.I.’s new book explores incest between brother and sister (video)
Everything rapper T.I. touches has turned to gold. so it’s a given that T.I.’s new book, Power & Beauty: A Love Story Of Life On The Streets, will at least get a mention on the NY Times Best Seller’s list after it hits store shelves tomorrow (Oct. 18).
Power & Beauty was written by T.I. while he was locked up in Arkansas on probation violation charges. The fiction novel centers around a brother and sister, both 16, who look to each other, and the streets, for safety and guidance when their mother dies.
According to Amazon.com, Paul “Power” Clay, the book’s narrator, allows himself to be guided by Slim, a local businessman who owned the nightclub where his mother died in a fiery explosion.
Power makes the difficult transition from boy to man through drugs, women, and violence, and, in doing so, begins to question if those who have taught him–including Slim–truly have his best interests at heart.
Power’s sister, Tanya “Beauty” Long rises from the gritty streets of Atlanta’s west side to take the fashion world by storm. But will their many triumphs be enough to distract from the fact that they slept with each other the same night their mother died?
T.I.’s hip hop fans might be a little uneasy with how the book deals with incest between brother and sister. While it’s a sensitive subject for some, it’s a reality for many children in the hood.

Rev. Run’s daughter Angela Simmons took her little sister and a fashionable friend to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood, CA yesterday. The ‘Run’s House’ star wore sheer, all black tights that highlighted her curvy physique. Her daddy, the Reverend Run, 47, and his wife, Justine Simmons, adopted Miley as an infant in 2007 after Justine suffered a miscarriage.
