Drake’s ‘Take Care’ is almost here
On October 24, Drake will save Hip Hop once again. That’s when the Toronto rapper drops his 2nd studio LP entitled ‘Take Care’.
Drake’s fashionable assistant, Shmink, uploaded pics of Drake and his producers hard at work mastering the project. (That’s Shmink in between those hard legs in the 2nd pic).
It used to be that you needed a high tech studio to master albums. But thanks to Steve Jobs and Apple software, mastering can be done on the fly.
By the way, I hate the layout of Shmink’s blog. You up-and-coming bloggers should not design your blog like hers. Yeah, the lines are clean and the pastel colors are cute and all, but it’s also confusing as heck. I do LOVE her Fendi shoes though.

Celebs Out & About: La La, Carmelo, Kim Kardashian, Angela Simmons, Tyrese
La La Anthony, 32, received a big hug from proud hubby, Carmelo Anthony, as they celebrated the opening day of La La’s new off-Broadway play, “Love, Loss & What I Wore” at the West Side Theatre in New York City yesterday. Someone forgot to tell ‘Melo that it is customary to give the leading lady flowers on opening night of a play. Oh well, he’ll learn.
Later, the couple went to the after party at B. Smith with family and friends, including La La’s lesbun cousin, Dice, who is in Atlanta to host a lesbun party at GLOW nightclub on Buford Hwy tonight.

Fantasia lied to ‘Mahalia’ producers about her pregnancy
We all know that R&B singer Fantasia has significant personality and emotional problems. But apparently, the producers of the new biopic on the life of gospel legend Mahalia Jackson don’t read the blogs, or they would have known that too.
They would have known not to waste their time casting her for such a plum role because her unpredictable behavior would certainly disrupt the shooting schedule.
Readers of this blog know that Fantasia likely suffers from NPD (narcissistic personality disorder), which means she’s a pathological liar, and she thinks the world revolves around her.
So it should come as no surprise that the movie’s producers are fuming mad at Fantasia for lying about her pregnancy. If it makes the producers feel any better; she lied to us about her pregnancy too.
Members of legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson’s estate are aghast that 2004 “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino has become pregnant by a married man as she prepares to play the Queen of Gospel in the biographical film “Mahalia!”
Producers are also furious with Fantasia, 27, for not telling them about her unexpected pregnancy until she was four months in. “She [initially] claimed that she was putting on weight for the role,” an insider said.
Production of the movie has been pushed back because of Fantasia’s pregnancy with her married boyfriend, Antwaun Cook.
“The family thinks if Fantasia plays the role, it’s going to sully the name of Mahalia,” executive producer Adrian Taylor told us. “They think she’s got the wrong image, having a child out of wedlock.”
Barrino’s pregnancy has also caused chaos with scheduling conflicts because filming has been delayed until after her due date on Dec. 27. Director Euzhan Palcy may be forced to drop out of the project.
Producers are now scrambling to finish the movie by fall 2012. Barrino has been asked to start filming as soon as January and is in negotiations to alter her contract to allow time for breast-feeding and nurturing her child on set.
