Denise Vasi Opens Up About Her New Role On ‘Single Ladies’
Denise Vasi, the newest cast member of VH1′s popular hit scripted TV series ‘Single Ladies‘ opened up about her new role in an interview on VH1.com.
Vasi, 28, who used to be one of rap mogul Russell Simmons’ jump offs, prefers to date White men or men like Russell who think they’re White. But rumor has it that her ‘Single Ladies‘ character will play a bisexual lady who has the hawts for LisaRaye’s character on Season 2.
Vasi on her character, Raquel:
Raquel is going to come back and stir the pot in a different way and bring some exciting new energy. We don’t wanna say too much.
On her audition process for the role:
When you see a network take so much time and they’re really specific, you know that they care about that show and it makes you wanna get the job even more because you know they appreciate who their audience is and what they’re looking for…I got the great opportunity to screentest with Lisa[Raye McCoy] which was really fun.
On how she got involved with the show:
Obviously the show was a huge success and I had the conversation with my manager. “Let’s keep an eye out if anything comes up even guest-star wise for the show.” A casting sheet went out and I went in and read the first time and I was lucky enough to come back again and read a second time. Then I read in New York and I read one more time in LA. We had a few work sessions and then I screen-tested.
On whether or not she’s a single lady in real life:
Well I’m not a married lady [laughs]. Trust me I’ve done a lot of dating. I’ve got a lot of stories. I definitely have a lot to pull from.
On her resemblance to the show’s former star, Stacey Dash:
We have similar features so that’s a great compliment, yeah.

The next morning, Smith dressed the dead baby, and when the boy’s father came to pick him up, she had the homeowner claim they’d already left. When asked why the baby was not moving, Smith said he was asleep, prosecutors alleged.
She placed the infant in the BabyBjorn and over the next several hours, Smith took the dead baby with her shopping to a couple of stores and then to a neighbor’s home in Harvey, according to prosecutors.

Honestly, I was very lucky, the Colic Kid got over it after she hit 4mos, just as my JoJo predicted and the other one never cried. I mean he would literally wake up and just look at me or towards the TV or whatever was going on. I took him to work one day, he went to sleep, I put him in his carrier when he woke up, he saw me grinned and just played with his fingers. My coworker would constantly mention it because she said she never saw anything like it.

Something that really jumped out to me was something about having 3 names (his name-dads name and granddads name)and stating if you didnt have these people in your life actually raising you-then you were lost already.
I know that its about to get grimy becuase its the prequel to CW but in the beginning of the book a few things jumped out! I like it thus far.

last thursday she sent a text to the dad and said ‘please take care of her blah blah …).
he being a little scared of death, blood and hospitals, sent his sister and they found her uncounscious.
apparently it was really close. they found her right on time.

When First Lady Michelle Obama tried to get our kids to eat healthy and reduce the amount of sodium and sugary drinks they consume, she didn’t say beat up your kids. We didn’t get that memo. But, Memphis mom Nicole Wright apparently did. The 36-year-old is facing child abuse charges after she kicked her son in the face repeatedly because he was drinking a Gatorade. True story. According to police, Nicole was at her son’s sports practice (it wasn’t revealed what sport the boy played) yesterday and spotted the boy with a Gatorade. She immediately asked who gave it him, and the the boy told her that a coach gave him the sports drink. However, when she asked the coach, he denied giving the boy the Gatorade. The all hell broke loose. Nicole flew into a rage and punched the boy in the face, threw him to the ground and repeatedly kicked him in the head and neck. The was taken to a local hospital and treated for bruises and Nicole was carted off to jail, where she remains on $1,000 bond.

When First Lady Michelle Obama tried to get our kids to eat healthy and reduce the amount of sodium and sugary drinks they consume, she didn’t say beat up your kids. We didn’t get that memo. But, Memphis mom Nicole Wright apparently did. The 36-year-old is facing child abuse charges after she kicked her son in the face repeatedly because he was drinking a Gatorade. True story. According to police, Nicole was at her son’s sports practice (it wasn’t revealed what sport the boy played) yesterday and spotted the boy with a Gatorade. She immediately asked who gave it him, and the the boy told her that a coach gave him the sports drink. However, when she asked the coach, he denied giving the boy the Gatorade. The all hell broke loose. Nicole flew into a rage and punched the boy in the face, threw him to the ground and repeatedly kicked him in the head and neck. The was taken to a local hospital and treated for bruises and Nicole was carted off to jail, where she remains on $1,000 bond.

it’s something in the water in TX. earlier this week an estranged husband killed his 4 kids, shot the hell out the wife, then killed himself. I believe the wife is the only one who survived. 2 kids died on the scene, the other 2 died a day or so later.
