Macy’s fires woman for refusing to allow transgender into women’s dressing room

A Macy’s department store in Texas is in the news today after the store’s manager fired a saleswoman for refusing to allow a man dressed as a woman to enter the women’s dressing room.

Natalie Johnson admits she watched the customerr from the start, and she made a beeline toward the shopper when he/she tried to enter the women’s dressing room.

Johnson told KSAT 12: “I had to just straight forward tell him, ‘You’re a man,’ and of course that really got him steamed.”

Citing her strict religious beliefs, Johnson told her manager she didn’t agree with Macy’s policy that allows transgender people to use the dressing rooms of their perceived gender.

“There are no transgenders in the world. A guy can dress up as a woman all he wants, that’s still not going to make you a woman,” Johnson said.

Beyonce Baby Bump Watch 2011

Pseudo-pregnant singer Beyonce, 30, caressed her baby bump as she exited Sakura Nails in NYC last night with her fiercely loyal bodyguard, Julius, and her stone-faced mom, Tina Knowles (not pictured). Beyonce and her tiny entourage made their way to her waiting custom coach on a rainy evening in NYC’s East Village. Beyonce got her nails polished in a bright blue color that matched her Christian Louboutin heels.

Maybe I’m just being picky, but does anyone else notice that Beyonce’s bump looks a lot bigger than it did last week on Katie Couric’s TV special?

Actress Vivica A. Fox spoke up about her failed engagement to local club promoter Omar “Slimm” White, 28. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Vivica, 48, acknowledged that she might have a problem rushing into marriage based on physical attraction.

“Sometimes in relationships there are warning signs,” Fox told Access Hollywood. “And I think that once you get older, I’ve been married before, that if there are warning signs, that you should pay attention to them before you get families involved and all the hoopla and things like that, and if things aren’t working out it’s ok to move on.”

White and Fox called in quits in November 2011, after a 10-month engagement. Fox said she hasn’t put herself back on the market yet but is thinking about trying to mix up her dating habits.

Arrest made in rape, murder of 7-year-old girl

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in the rape and murder of a 7-year-old Canton, GA girl, according to AJC.

GBI Director Vernon Keenan identified the man as Ryan Brunn, who was taken into custody around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Keenan said Brunn lived at the River Ridge apartment complex where Jorelys lived and was killed, and had been a maintenance worker there. Tips from the public led investigators to Brunn, Keenan said. Police called the killing “planned and calculated,” as more than 65 local, state and federal investigators currently worked on the case since the girl’s body was discovered in a dumpster Monday.

Residents of the complex where Jorelys’s body was found told the AJC that police had been in and out of a maintenance worker’s apartment. But police declined to identify the worker until today.

Jorelys was playing with friends in the apartment’s playground on Friday when she went to get drinks for her friends and never returned.

Brunn, who has no known criminal record, had been under police surveillance since Tuesday evening, Keenan said. He had been employed at the complex since Nov. 7, John Bankhead, GBI spokesman, told the AJC.

“We are confidant that Brunn is the killer, that’s why he’s in custody,” Keenan said, when asked if there are any other suspects.

Neighbors in the complex told the AJC they were relieved at news of an arrest. Lorenza Wright said he heard the news, along with his mother and brother, when he went home for a lunch break.

“We all burst into tears,” Wright said. “We were ecstatic.”
