Police are scouring the South for a toddler who hasn’t been seen since Thanksgiving. According to published reports, Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott says they’re still getting very little help from the mother of the missing toddler about that child’s whereabouts.

The boy’s mother, Zinah Jennings, 22, was taken into custody Dec. 24, when Jennings crashed her Dodge Neon into a tree near her home in Columbia, S.C.

Jennings’ mother, Jocelyn Jennings Nelson, called Columbia police on Dec. 8 to report Jennings’ 18-month-old son, Amir, missing. Amir’s grandmother was concerned because her daughter had gotten into a separate car accident several days earlier and made “cryptic phone calls to other family members indicating her ongoing fight with depression is continuing,” police said in a report.

“Zinah was not necessarily reported as missing,” said Jocelyn, “It was the child that I was concerned with because I had actually seen her the night before.”

Amir’s biological father told police he last saw his son during Thanksgiving. That’s when Jennings left Columbia en route to Atlanta with Amir to stay with her sister. Police were able to confirm that Jennings and Amir had indeed arrived in Atlanta. Police are analyzing video surveillance tapes to determine Amir’s last location in Atlanta.

During 3 days of interrogation, Jennings told police, first, that she had no son. Then she told police that she left the boy with her sister in Atlanta.

Kanye West, the world’s most grandiose rapper, went on a bizarre Twitter rant yesterday, detailing his excessively grand ideas and plans for the world.

In the midst of his narcissistic ramblings, West named himself as Steve Jobs’ successor. He announced a new Apple-type corporation, which he named DONDA — after his late mother. The new corporation, he says, will consist of 22 divisions “with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…”

West is “assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts, app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist, doctors, scientist, teachers…” to take him one step closer to realizing his goal of becoming the next Steve Jobs.

“I sit everyday and ask what can I do to make a difference,” writes West, who adds that he hasn’t “bought a new car or piece of jewelry in about 2 years…”

West doesn’t want to just design the new iPad, he wants to redesign our way of thinking too — beginning with the schoolchildren. “School systems were designed to turn people into factory workers,” he tweeted. “Schools should be designed to prep human beings for real life.”

Who else thought that schools were already designed to prep human beings for life?

West says he’s uniquely qualified to redesign our way of life because he has won Grammies, which gives him the “prestige” to reach out and connect people.

Like most grandiose personalities, West’s ideas are a confused, colossal mishmash of pomposity and pretentiousness conceived by West to bring even more attention to himself.

“I care about people who have never heard of me… There are over 7 billion people on the planet now,” he tweeted. And West is determined to get their attention one tweet at a time.

By the way, if you want to be a part of Kanye’s obsessive plans for a New World Disorder, email him at contactDONDA@gmail.com.

Black Hollywood’s favorite couple Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union grace the cover of February 2012 issue of ESSENCE magazine. The NBA star met the sultry actress while he was still married to, Siohvaughn Funches. Gabby caught a lot of flack from NBA groupies and others who objected to her home wrecking. But the reality of the situation was that the love was gone in Funches and Wade’s marriage by the time Gabby worked her feminine wiles on him.

On the subject of marriage, Wade said:

We’re not rushing it. Both of us have been married before, and we understand that if we choose to marry again, we want it to be right. We both took failing at marriage hard. The next time it’s gotta be forever…” — Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade’s 8 year marriage to his high school sweetheart Siohvaughn came to an end in 2010 and Gabrielle Union was married for 5 years to Jacksonville Jaguars running back, Chris Howard. Their marriage ended in April of 2006.

VH1’s reality series ‘Mob Wives‘ was scandalous enough to rank #2 in the cable TV ratings for New Year’s day behind only E! TV’s ‘Kim & Kourtney Take NY‘. The Staten Island based Mob Wives features feisty, heavily botoxed and cosmetically enhanced women with ties to notorious mob figures (real mob figures, not the imitation ones that rappers pretend to be).

If you thought urban reality series such as ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ and ‘Basketball Wives‘ were bad, wait until you see the preview of next week’s Mob Wives. There is a sustained and brutal fight between Karen Gravano and Drita D’Avanzo that clocks in at over 4 minutes of hair-pulling and butt kicking. I still don’t know what the fight was about.

Drita says, “You know what happens when you come to my house? You get hit with a wrench across your f*cking throat. So you’re welcome.”

Rap mogul Ludacris announced today he was closing his popular Straits restaurant in midtown to focus on a new restaurant he’s opening inside Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport.

According to the AJC, Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, made the decision after winning a contract to open a restaurant — Chicken N Beer — at the nation’s busiest airport.

The new restaurant was inspired by the title of Luda’s third hip hop album, Chicken N’ Beer. The new restaurant will serve “comfort food” and beer created from “locally grown ingredients,” according to the AJC.

“As I continue to learn and evolve as a businessman, I am extremely excited to put my restaurateur footprint into a new venture inside the busiest international airport in the United States, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport,” Ludacris said in a release.

“Straits was a great segue into the industry and with Chicken N Beer I can create my own concept. I look forward to expanding my creativity and driving to a much higher plane.”

According to published reports, Chaz Bono, formerly Chastity Bono, the daughter of pop singer Cher and Sonny Bono, is saving money to buy a new penis. Until then, she is still a female in the eyes of many because her female productive organs are still intact.

Bono started her gender-reassignment process by surgically removing her healthy breasts and taking male hormones to grow facial hair. But until now, Bono hesitated about taking that final step — purchasing a working penis.

“[Bono] is pretty sure that within a short while, he will finally be able to afford to get himself a penis,” says a new Rolling Stone profile.

Because of cash flow problems, Bono will seek to have the surgery performed in a foreign country where the procedure is cheaper.

“There’s different ways to do the surgery, from real basic to more and more options,” he said. “It’s like a car. The doctor I want to use is in Belgrade. It’s going to be a little cheaper there. Probably $25,000, maybe $45,000, I really don’t know.”

Bono refuses to lean on Cher for a cash advance toward the penis, because Cher has helped Chaz out financially, and because it’s apparent that Chaz has no intentions of ever getting a job.

Last night, singer Mariah Carey tweeted a photo of her husband Nick Cannon laid up in a hospital bed in Aspen, along with the news that he was hospitalized with a “mild” form of kidney failure.

“Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure,” she tweeted early Wednesday morning.

In a subsequent tweet, she added: “We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.”

So what is “mild” kidney failure, you ask? Mariah might be referring to Acute Renal Failure, or the beginning stages of kidney failure. But then again, Nick might not be in kidney failure at all (Nick and Mariah are such drama queens).
