Beyonce Knowles-Carter smothers Blue Ivy with love
First-time proud parents Beyonce and Jay-Z took their newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter out on her first walk in the Big Apple today. Jay Z, right, and another man stood guard as Beyonce carried baby BIC out of a restaurant and into her custom van. Blue Ivy was tightly bound and nearly smothered in a dark blanket. In keeping with the blue theme of BIC’s over-the-top birth, Beyonce wore blue outerwear over black leggings, a skull cap and black shades. The family was seen leaving Sant Ambroeus Restaurant in the West Village after having lunch.

I just see two parents out with their baby. I’m sure if you caught any other mother carrying her baby that day the image would be similar.
That baby’s not smothered, it’s cold out. If she had her out in just a hat with her face exposed you’d be saying she was exposing her to the elements and risking hypothermia and random air borne diseases. They both have the new parent exhilarated/exhausted look about them… I remember those days
Im sure it was cold…. Didn’t sandra go in on Sandra Bullock because you could see little bit of skin doing on a cold day? So Im sure Sandy is happy to see Blue cover and wrapped up….
And to the people talking about how she’s carrying the baby…lmfaooo I’ve seen mothers with 4 kids grabbin them and picking them up by the arms…. it always bothers me when I see this because my cousin was carrying her baby up the stairs by his arms and she ended up pulling his arm outta socket.
I get that many people dont believe that she was pregnant, but please stop making it a point to pick on every little thing she does.
I also find it odd that the way she’s carrying the baby is up for dispute… I didn’t know that there was an unmotherly way to carry a newborn (well minus upside down by a foot or something). Hell I carried my all different kinds of ways, as long as they were upright with room to breathe we were good
Part of the joy of being a parent is doing what feels natural and is most comfortable for you and yours, there’s not too many wrong ways to do it 
Something tells me though that the main ones saying they wouldn’t do certain things with their kids don’t even have kids to begin with

That’s one thing I can honestly say I never did, but my kids got carried sideways, up on the shoulder, in my elbow, one on a hip with one on my back and another in the snugli… etc 
The arm thing always bothered me though simply cause I could never understand people think an arm is supposed to support that big ol head and body in midair

@Munch My sister would do the same for me too, she is actually considering being a surrogate for one of her co workers now. She is only 25 she will have more kids later on in life. I was a mean big sister at times she wanted to do everything I did it was annoying. We are good now though.

You are a fool Sandra! Smothers the child with love huh? LOL Well as much as I hate to agree with you in a Beyonce post I do have a few thoughts of my own on this one. One, I’m not a mother but isn’t it kind of early to be carrying the baby in that craddly, strappy contraption that everyone seems to use but I hate so much??? Those things look super uncomfortable for babies to me and seeing how lil mama is only 7 weeks old and can’t even hold her head up like isn’t it just too early for all of that???
Why not just keep her in the carseat and carry her out like that? Beyonce just seems all sorts of confused to me and Jay looks like a confused idiot too.
They are great artists but I hope they get the parenting thing down soon. Then, Bey just looks all sorts of akward holding the kid. It just looks kind of un-natural and like another poster said it looks like someone had to prep her on how to carry the kid but she still doesn’t have it down. IDK maybe I’m picking but it just all looks weird to me.

I agree. A newborn infant needs more support than that. Why isn’t the baby in a carrier instead of a sheet?
Beyonce has had one month of intensive parenting training and she still doesn’t look like she has the hang of it.

Jazzy they’re actually pretty supportive cause the baby is basically laying down and cuddled right up next to you. It’s not like the backpack ones that you wear with the baby upright even though those are safe for newborns too as long as it’s frontwise and you have it in the right position. They’re better than the carriers in my opinion because for one you can kinda control the germs since the baby is right up under you, and two you can control who gets to be all up in your baby’s little face. Plus they usually sleep pretty good in them cause they’re warm and can smell you and hear your heartbeat so it’s like they’re back in the womb. Those carriers are hell. I kept mine in the car and didn’t bring it out unless I absolutely had to

A carseat? I very seldom see children of celebs carried in a carseat,do you know how easy someone can bump/snatch/ ect ect that baby! I understand people not liking her and I’m no stan but damn yall act like yall see them out often with the baby. I swear celebrities been out with their baby’s in slings and not in car seats. Those shoes Beyonce has on do have a 3 inch wedge heel built into them but they are just disguised to look like sneakers so Bey isn’t completely heel free…lol but she does look cute as for the way she bundled/holding the baby it doesn’t look strange to me but I don’t have much experience with babies…shrugs
last time I checked a wedge and a heel/stiletto were two different things…then again I could be wrong

I was asking myself the same thing but I think the baby is being carried in the black blankets in the first three pics and got transferred to the blue thing in the last two pics where the blankets look empty.
And just an observation but to me Beyonce is one of the few celebrities that people will not only say but believe anything about. She’s now up there with the likes of Janet and Micheal in terms of the batsht craziness that they get from fans and foes alike. I almost feel sorry for her.

We had that same ignorance at a club in Augusta. The owner caught a lot of flack too. The people trying to defend it sounded dumb as hayle. The club is a straight hood/ghetto club so the patrons were extra excited. He did it for two years and this year would make the third. I’m not sure if he is gonna do it this year though.
