R&B Diva Monica Brown was the special musical guest on Jay Leno last night. Monica performed her current single, “It All Belongs To Me,” featuring Brandy Norwood. The ladies dedicated their performance to Whitney Houston, who passed away on Feb. 11 — Brandy’s 32nd birthday. Brandy’s voice is no longer the powerful, emotive instrument that it once was. Her 3rd studio album, Full Moon (released in 2002), is one of my all-time favorite CDs. It was the last shining moment for Brandy in a recording studio. But Brandy has so many other accomplishments to fall back on. Such as the fact that she is a better actress than she is a singer.

Brandy still has a strong voice, it just took a minute to get it going in this performance. Monica sounded great as well. My favorite album is Never Say Never!

I think Brandy sounded great. Her runs seemed stronger than Monica’s on that track. Overall, They both did a good job!!
Sandra, are we really going there. Please let it be known that the boy is mine duet clive begged brandy people to put monica on there otherwise she wouldnt won a grammy. Anyways… I dont even care for the song but I think the ladies did an awesome job and the fact that they get along great makes the relationship so real and sincere..

Brandy has a great voice, she can still blow. I’ve been a brandy fan since 8th grade….I’m 30 years old now lol. She’s one of my fav’s and she is one of the few artist that I will support! GO BRANDY!

I’m a Brandy fan, so I have all 5 of her albums. I would say her 1st album, NSN the obvious ,FM and Human. Even though Human flop, it still was some great songs on that album her voice became stronger. I just wish her people would’ve have pick the right singles for that album.
Ummm I’m sorry but Afrodisiac was her best album besides Never Say Never..Ppl slept on that album so bad it was ridiculous!! Full Moon was horrible in my opinion..Only one song was good..
Sandra, please, Brandy sounded fabulous. She had a rough start, but she came through. Her voice is more fluid than Monica’s IMO.

I think Brandy had a rough start because it was her first time performing since Whitney’s death. If you watch some of her interviews she can barely make a complete sentence because everybody is asking her about Whitney.

Don’t know why people get so bent out of shape when others state Brandy doesn’t have it anymore. Many great singers eventually fall from grace. Brandy use to be a powerhouse but now she’s past her prime. That’s life.
Eventually Monica’s time might run out, but for right now she’s still the best in R&B. This song has stared to grow on me but Monica still needs to get the song writing together. Don’t want no bs with this album.

Monica Showed up & SLAYED OUT!!! They both look nice.
I know I am late but my 2 cents. They both did great. Sandra always getting ish wrong, Bran is 33. They both are still going through a hard time dealing with Whitneys death so it shows. I wish this post could have been positive without the shade Miss Rose. Brandy sold more albums, Monica sold more singles and has more #1′s.
