News Anchor Bitten in Face By Dog on Live TV (Video)
The dog was probably playing when he nipped TV news anchor Kyle Dyer in the face live on the air. But Dyer will have to undergo reconstructive facial surgery to repair the damage.
The veteran KUSA-TV anchor in Denver, Colorado, was rushed to a local hospital after being bitten in the face by a 86-pound mastiff who was pulled out of a freezing pond by a firefighter 3 days before.
The dog and the firefighter were being reunited on the set, when Dyer leaned in too close to pet the mutt. The dog’s owner, who is black, yanked the dog’s chain to get him off the anchor, but he later admitted the dog did not have his rabies shots.

Deion Sanders’ aunt Laura Jones just gave a SHOCKING blow-by-blow to her violent altercation with Pilar inside Deion’s Texas mansion Monday — admitting she grabbed Pilar’s hair … and beat the holy hell out of her.
49-year-old Laura — who’s married to Deion’s uncle — called in to Dallas K104 this morning, claiming she stopped by Deion’s house to take care of some housekeeping items (a job Deion pays her to do) and Pilar flipped.
According to Laura, Pilar objected to her being in the house, and demanded she “get the f**k out.” The argument escalated quickly, and Laura says Pilar brushed against her in a threatening way … so Laura responded by grabbing Pilar’s hair and hitting her.
This is where it gets NUTS — Laura says Pilar then ripped Laura’s dress clean off during the melee, leaving her practically naked, and tumbled backwards down the staircase. Laura says Pilar then grabbed a bunch of knives from the kitchen, and brandished them while she called 911.
Right then, Laura says Deion came downstairs to see what the ruckus was about — and Pilar yelled at the dispatcher, “My husband is attacking me!!!”
According to Laura, the cops showed up minutes later — and Pilar refused to put away the knives … so they cuffed her and threw in the back of a cruiser. Laura says the children were present the entire time.
But Laura claims charges were never filed against Pilar because Deion intervened — and got Pilar off the hook.
Laura also submitted an alleged audio recording of the fight — claiming she acquired it during her brawl with Pilar … who’s allegedly been recording everything in the house to use as leverage in her divorce.

right, u can’t just go up to an animal. there’s a certain way to approach an animal. in class we learned (i’m sure there’s other ways) that the person has to ASK first, then u make ur dog sit, the person has to put their hand out for the dog to sniff it, then u scratch under the dog’s chin

The owner is very irresponsible for not keeping up with this dog’s shots and having the dog off leash (which is the reason for this interview).
Black people don’t usually let their dogs lick them all in the face. That poor dog didn’t what the lady was doing all in his face.
Clearly this dog is the victim of an irresponsible owner and now the dog may have to be put down. If you don’t want to train your dog, don’t get one.

I’m so sorry to hear that! I know a girl whose mother was attacked by 2 german shepherds and they messed her up really bad. Bit up her legs….she ended up dying a few days later because it affected her circulation. I remember that….back in like 2003.

it could happen because my mom has skinny legs and they were tore up. you could literally see the entire outline of the dogs mouth on my mom’s leg for a while. she could not walk for a while. one of the long teeth went in so deep that that particular wound had to be especially cared for. it’s the worst one.

The story is interesting enough without it being blown out of proportion the way the media is doing. That woman was WAAAAY too close to the dog to begin with. What news anchor gets down on the floor to pet a dog for the entire segment? That was bad enough, but then she appeared to be going in for a kiss! Is she freakin crazy? The dog didn’t maul or even attack her. He snapped on her as if to say, “Back up off me bish. I don’t know you.” The video clearly shows a quick snap and nothing more. He didn’t even resist the owner pulling him away. Reconstructive surgery makes it sound real bad, but its probably just about about old girl not wanting teeth marks in her face for the rest of her life not that the dog did massive damage.
I read a story today that said he might be put down, but I saw the story on the Today show this morning and they said the dog had no history of biting and will do 10 days in quarentine (jail) and then go home to his family.
I just seen this on the Today Show. The reason for the interview was because the dog had fell through some ice and was rescued and she was checking up on him. I’m glad they are not putting the dog down because of this. The dog was cool with her petting him, but not when an unknown stranger got in his face like that. They said since it was the first time he has bitten anyone they have no reason to put him down.

No. But it’s hard to ignore the fact that whenever someone is attacked by an aggressive pit bull in Atlanta, the owner is almost always black.
My first dog was half wolf, I keep my distance with her because she didn’t know her strength. She would call herself playing with you but would be a little too rough for me. She was cool around us, but when another dog came around, it was like that wolf side would come out. I didn’t want no part of that.

I know where u are going with this *smh* Not all blacks fight their pits and raise them to attack any/everything walking. They are great protective dogs if raised properly.

My gravi ……… that’s my baby and I am a responsible owner. When you have a dog of that nature you have to be. He will protect me and my child with his life and unless he feels like theres an issue he is good. I can get him on yo’ ass or get him off yo’ ass but that is at my discretion and he knows that more than anyone. He also knows I love him and make sure he has his check up every year just like my kid. And yes he is chained up while I am at work but its a 25 foot chain so he has PLENTY of space and before I even go in the house I get him off the chain to go too.
Ray-ray and Boo Boo and them got their dog chained up today yesterday and the day before etc and they probably gave him some food yesterday maybe and they might get him off the chain to walk him done the road to his folks house so he’s putting on a good show and Keisha can say ooh no boy you better get that dog away from me. You know I am scared of dogs but….. that’s about as far as it goes.
I know that is not the case in every case but generally speaking Am I right? If so don’t hate me for it.

When I was about 8 or 9 me and my parents were on our daily walk and this neighborhood dog started eyeing me. I was TERRIFIED of dogs at that time so I immediatly froze up. My dad tells me just stay calm and dont run. I did just that until that damn mutt started wallking towards me. So I politlely hauled my azz in to high gear in my lime green tye-dye sun dress and cow boy boots!! (mind you it’s was may or June in OK so it was hotter than heyul) My dad started chasing me yelling “just stop running and he will stop chasing you” but I wasn’t trying to hear that cause in my mind all dogs were out to get me and maul me to death. So I ran across 4 lanes of traffic all the way to my damn house

to you being a responsible Pit owner. I have a Pit as well, and she’s just like one of the kids. She’s not aggressive, but she will protect the family and other dog, without a doubt.
I wish people would understand that if you raise ANY breed to be aggressive, they will be aggressive, and that goes for the lil ankle-biter dogs, too.

That dog showed no signs of being aggressive. That was obviously a warning shot he did. If he wanted to do damage, damage would have been done.

Those dogs are smarter than most humans. They have much more common sense too
If you raise a dumb dog that’s what you’ll get but if you spend quality time with your dog he won’t ever cease to amaze you with his intellect!

I don’t fault the owner and dog whatsoever. First, it is the television station responsibility to make sure for insurance reasons this dog was up to date with his shots before he was allowed on set amongst their employees. Secondly, this dog is not a show dog that was trained to appear on live tv or movie sets like you have in the movie industry. This dog was not used to these surroundings like lighting, cameras, voices, etc. I do believe the owner should get a ticket for walking the dog without a leash and his up to date shots. Lastly, I fault her (anchorwoman)100%. You are to never I don’t care if it was a poodle to get in a dog’s face like that. He was protecting himself and you best to believe if anyone get in my face and I don’t know the motive I will throw the first swing before you. I stand behind this dog all the way.
Moral of the Story! Don’t kiss dogs in the mouth!

Was the news lady wrong for getting that close to a dogs face that she didnt know? Probably, but to say she deserved to get bit is not right. The lady was doing her job and its not like she was taunting the dog on purpose so her getting bit was not expected.
Now has the news lady learned her lesson?
Will she ever get that close to another dog friendly or not?
Why the hell did she put her face so close to a dog that wasn’t her’s. It’s sad, but damn!!!
