Alicia Keys Covers VIBE; Gives First ‘Real’ Interview
If there’s anything you ever wanted to know about singer Alicia Keys, make sure you pick up the April/May 2012 issue of VIBE magazine on newsstands April 16.
One thing that you probably didn’t know is that Alicia believes in omens or signs. It was one such sign that convinced her that lothario music producer Kasseem Dean, aka Swizz Beatz, was the man she would one day wed. It didn’t matter to Alicia that Kasseem was already involved with another woman at the time.
“It was the craziest thing,” says Dean, leaning forward in his chair. “We had a work lunch with some people, and I get home and look in the back pocket—”
“My credit card was in his pocket,” Keys ?nishes the story, eyes wide. “Why was my credit card in his pocket?”
One explanation might be that he’d grabbed it by accident when they split the check, but that would be too prosaic. They saw the credit card debacle as a sign, the ?rst of many. Well, second, if you count the time, 14 years ago, when they ?rst met and Dean tried unsuccessfully to get her number from his friend. “It wasn’t our time yet,” he says with a smile.

On last Friday my mom had a business meeting in Raleigh. When she went to exist I-40 she accidentally rear-ended this woman’s car. She didn’t do any damage to the lady car but she did do some damage to her own. Anyways, the lady says it was her fault the sun got into her eyes. But as soon as my mom asked her did she need an ambulance she went crazy asking was there blood on her face and how much pain she was in. So my mom called her an ambulance.
Fast forward a few days, one of my moms sorors had been blowing my mom’s phone up. So she finally got around to calling her back. This particular soror was picking her kids up from the daycare and overheard the owner and the owner’s daughter talking and laughing about how this lady in this big expensive Benz had rearended her mom but it didn’t do any damage. But she told her mom to go to Duke hospital because the lady that hit her was loaded and if she played her cards right she could get a big Benz too. She went on to tell the person where the lady that hit her mom was from and my mom’s soror instantly knew it was my mom. So she told the lady that she was talking about her sorority sister. How bout the bitch went to limping and chit.
The moral of that story is, God don’t like ugly.

I missed the funeral and was about to google her performance but it just didnt make sense because I knew without a shadow of a doubt that alicia sounded horrible. I used to think she could sing when she first came out but thankfully I woke up after seeing her live performances. I think thats why she be bringing people on stage with her (TLC) to throw folks off.
