They couldn't get our attention by themselves, so Kim Kardashian and musician Kanye West have teamed up to play the media like a fiddle.

Kardashian, whose sordid past is littered with foolish men, was a guest on the Today show on Friday.

When asked by Today show co-host Ann Curry if she and Kanye West are an item, Kardashian, 31, said coyly, "Kanye and I have been friends for years. ... You never know what the future holds."

I'm going to guess that's a no.

But isn't that what we expected her to say? Most people who are in love don't mind shouting it from the rooftops.

Seriously, do you see any love in their eyes when they're together? They don't even have that Dopamine glow that most young lovers confuse for love.

Does she even know what love is?

"I love really hard. I fall hard, and I followed my heart," Kardashian said. "When things don't work out, that's sometimes just how life is. What's the point in dragging something out ... when you know that it's just not it for you?"

Mirlande Wilson must be the unluckiest woman in Maryland.

Imagine winning part of a $640 million lottery and telling your work lottery pool that you refuse to share the winnings with them because you bought the ticket on your own -- only to end up losing the ticket.

Wilson, a McDonald's worker who claimed to be one of three winners of last week's historic Mega Millions jackpot, now says she can't find the winning ticket.

She told the New York Post: "I have no idea where it is. I’m not sure I have it. I’m still looking for it. I haven’t even looked in my uniform pants yet."

Former Atlanta Falcons coach Bobby Petrino held a press conference on Tuesday to talk about Sunday's motorcycle crash that landed him in a hospital with broken ribs and neck injuries.

According to ESPN, the Arkansas Razorbacks football coach, "who is married with four children, didn't mention he had a passenger during a news conference on Tuesday, two days after Sunday's accident, and a school statement that day quoted Petrino's family as saying "no other individuals" were involved."

Petrino also didn't tell his athletic director that his passenger was a woman half his age, or that she worked for the university.

Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long announced the decision to put Petrino on leave at a late-night news conference. He said he didn't know about Petrino's passenger -- 25-year-old football program employee Jessica Dorrell -- until the 51-year-old Petrino called him Thursday afternoon, minutes before a police report was released that disclosed her presence at the accident.

Petrino told Long that he had spent Sunday with his wife, Becky, at a lake and was going for an evening ride when he lost control of his motorcycle.

"When I came out of the ditch, there was a lady there that had flagged down a car," Petrino said. He didn't mention that "the lady" had been riding with him on his motorcycle when he crashed.

If there's anything you ever wanted to know about singer Alicia Keys, make sure you pick up the April/May 2012 issue of VIBE magazine on newsstands April 16.

One thing that you probably didn't know is that Alicia believes in omens or signs. It was one such sign that convinced her that lothario music producer Kasseem Dean, aka Swizz Beatz, was the man she would one day wed. It didn't matter to Alicia that Kasseem was already involved with another woman at the time.

“It was the craziest thing,” says Dean, leaning forward in his chair. “We had a work lunch with some people, and I get home and look in the back pocket—"

"My credit card was in his pocket,” Keys ?nishes the story, eyes wide. “Why was my credit card in his pocket?”
One explanation might be that he’d grabbed it by accident when they split the check, but that would be too prosaic. They saw the credit card debacle as a sign, the ?rst of many. Well, second, if you count the time, 14 years ago, when they ?rst met and Dean tried unsuccessfully to get her number from his friend. “It wasn’t our time yet,” he says with a smile.

I knew from the first time I saw special prosecutor Angela Corey's smug expression on Nancy Grace that Trayvon Martin would not get justice.

She told Nancy, with calm indignation, that she didn't need a grand jury to tell her to press charges against George Zimmerman for taking Trayvon's life.

According to Orlando Local 6 news, the city of Sanford is quietly preparing for the worst in advance of the special prosecutor's decision not to charge Zimmerman.

Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett said on Thursday he was calling in the National Guard to forcibly suppress any uprisings if necessary.

Officials said extra police officers and fire department officials are on standby. Neighboring agencies have also been asked to assist, if needed.

"You always prepare for the worst and hope for the best," Triplett said. "We're planning for the 'what-if' case scenario, and that would be to make sure that all of our citizens get the protection they pay their taxes for." Source

Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Anthony Mackie ("She Hate Me") are currently shooting the Michael Bay film 'Pain & Gain' in Miami, Florida. This ought to be a movie that the muscle heads in your life will love. Pain and Gain is based on a true story about a pair of bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong. Pain and Gain, which also stars veteran actor Ed Harris, is scheduled for a Summer 2013 release.

Many believe the special prosecutor assigned to the Trayvon Martin case is dragging her feet. Miami teenager Trayvon Martin has been dead for 39 days, and still his murderer hasn't been brought to justice.

In a recent interview, rapper Young Jeezy promised a long, hot Summer of civil unrest across the country if charges aren't brought soon.

Citing his young son as the inspiration for a new rap song about Trayvon -- Jeezy said, "I feel like, you know, no justice, no peace, man."

"For real... if you commit a crime you should be held liable for that crime until the court of law prove you innocent or guilty."

He added:

"I think... just to ease everybody's mind, and everybody's tension, he should at least be charged. Now, if he beats the charges that's a whole 'nother situation. But what you don't wanna do is sit here and play these games. And go back and forth about who's in the right, who's in the wrong. He's a child and you're an adult...

In what may be a subtle message to his homie in the White House -- President Obama -- Jeezy said: "If they handle this wrong, from the prisons to the streets the people are gonna erupt!"

Not for one minute do I believe that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are really dating. But the rumor does make for interesting blog fodder.

According to TMZ, Kim and Kanye were seen leaving a movie theater together in NYC yesterday. I guess that amounts to a romance in the celebrity world. But in the real world, their "date" is a mere publicity stunt contrived by two narcissists to grab headlines.

Coincidentally, their "date" occurred on the same day (at the very hour) that Kanye dropped a new, disjointed, uptempo tune called "Theraflu" -- in which he proclaims his "love" for the self-obsessed reality star.

And I’ll admit I fell in love with Kim
’Round the same time she fell in love with him.
Well that’s cool, baby girl, do your thing,
Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team.

First Lady Michelle Obama has snagged more covers than Beyonce in the last 4 years since her husband was elected president.

Mrs. Obama, who rules the White House with an iron fist, covers the May 2012 issue of Ebony magazine, on newsstands April 17.

Inside the issue, she talks about her responsibilities keeping the president focused, and on raising two daughters to be respectful, kind empathetic young women who should never let a man disrespect them.

Michelle didn't touch on the recent controversy involving her oldest daughter Malia Obama vacationing with 12 classmates and 25 Secret Service agents in Mexico.

The cover photo was shot by Marc Baptiste at the White House, according to

On raising Sasha and Malia:

MICHELLE OBAMA: “Barack and I feel that our greatest responsibility is to raise two productive, respectful, kind empathetic young women.”

9 time Grammy winner Mary J Blige thinks Burger King knew exactly what they were doing when they posted an unfinished television commercial on YouTube last week.

The commercial featured a cartoonish Blige, 41, standing on a table top singing the praises of Burger King's crispy fried chicken wraps and all its toppings.

Mary's fans reacted with fury across all social networking platforms when the ad was released. But Mary tells she never signed off on the ad that sparked outrage on for its stereotyping of blacks and fried chicken.

Mary J. tells TMZ, “I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence. Unfortunately, that's not what was happening in that clip."

Burger King yanked the ad from its YouTube channel, claiming the racist ad was released prematurely "before all of the licensing and final approvals were obtained." But that excuse doesn't hold water for Mary.

Mary tells TMZ, "I understand my fans being upset by what they saw. But, if you’re a Mary fan, you have to know I would never allow an unfinished spot like the one you saw go out."

Burger King has since apologized to Mary, and they say a new, completed version of the controversial ad will be released soon.

Yesterday, Whitney Houston's final autopsy report was released to the media and others who immediately began misinterpreting the coroner's findings. There is so much misinformation surrounding the autopsy report. Where do I begin?

First and foremost, Whitney died as the result of accidental drowning, meaning there was enough water in her lungs to interfere with the delivery of oxygen to her brain. The singer's entourage found her face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her suite at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Feb. 11.

According to the report, Whitney's drowning death was preceded by a cocaine overdose. Cocaine was found in her system, and cocaine residue was found on a spoon and on a rolled up sheet of paper in her hotel suite.

Someone supplied Whitney with that cocaine, since she obviously didn't procure it for herself. Many in the industry believe a close friend of hers supplied her with the drug.

Whitney was a chronic cocaine snorter, as evidenced by the finding of a perforated posterior septum, which means a hole in her nose caused by chronic cocaine use.

Whitney was also vain about her appearance. The coroner had to pry a brown lacefront wig off her head which was "firmly attached to her hair."

The coroner's report also noted Whitney's McGhan breast implants (size: 230 cc).

A sex assault kit was performed on Whitney in the hotel room where she died. If she had sex prior to her death, semen might have been collected. But that's not likely since she was found submerged in water.

Now let's get to the misinformation that is circulating.

This morning, an Atlanta area radio morning show reported incorrectly that Whitney's body was scalded in 93 degree water that caused her skin to peel off. That's not true.

Authorities are hot on the trail of an online pimp who sought out underage girls on social networks such as Like most predators, Marquist Bradford, 26, prefers young runaways who are easily impressed by a smooth talker.

Not surprisingly, Bradford is a rapper wannabe whose favorite pastime is flashing fake iced out jewelry and stacks of cash.

According to the Smoking Gun, Bradford, who is on the lam with one of his young prostitutes, has been charged with "sex trafficking of children by force, fraud, or coercion, a felony carrying a prison term of 15 years to life."

Bradford first came to the attention of the FBI two months ago, when a 15-year-old girl told cops she ran away from her pimp.

The girl told police she was introduced to Bradford by a 17-year-old prostitute whom she befriended, named “Princess.” The unidentified minor said she communicated with Bradford on Facebook for several weeks before he sent her a Greyhound bus ticket from Fresno to Sacramento. She began living with the alleged pimp and Princess in his apartment.

The teen told investigators that Bradford immediately “posted advertisements for her as a prostitute” on one escort service web site. Then the beatings began.

Remember you scoffed when I told you Rihanna wore silk pajamas to a "Battleship" promotional event in London last week? Well, she did it again -- this time she wore Emilio Pucci silk pajamas to a "Battleship" photo call in Japan yesterday.

I don't know why people are acting surprised. She wears pajamas to events because she's Rihanna -- and because she can.

From MTV Style:

...erm, are those pajamas Ri is wearing on the red carpet?? *slooooow squinting side eye*

Come on, now, this is the girl who can make a turtleneck look fly! What is she doing letting her flawless physique drown in this azure chinoiserie set?

It's not even totally the Emilio Pucci pajama-esque ensemble's fault. On the runway, it looks more avant garde than snooze button, but why? We'd guess one variable is the waist tie, which in Pucci's Fall 2012 Fashion Week presentation is quite broad, pulling together more of an hourglass shape. Rihanna's Battleship cincher is a bit haphazardly skinny, and consequently, it leaves the outfit looking to be very ill-fitted and too all-over baggy.

Actress Gabrielle Union was among the celebrities in town for the 'Think Like a Man' Atlanta screening yesterday. It was a star-studded week in Atlanta as the cast of Screen Gems' upcoming romantic comedy 'Think Like a Man' hit the city for promotional activities.

Think Like a Man is based on the best-selling book by Steve Harvey, seen here with his wife, Marjorie Harvey.

I bet a lot of heathens and sinners got right with the Lord yesterday. Nature's awesome power was on display when twisters and super cells cut a swath through north Texas. Shocking television news footage shows one tornado violently tossing 18 wheelers around like twigs. The power of Nature's fury was evident as high winds uprooted trees, cars and buildings with ease.

Thankfully, there were no deaths reported. See pics of the destruction and watch the chilling video after the break.

Her sophomore album, Roman Reloaded, dropped yesterday. The CDs were immediately scooped up by her rabid fans who are eager to hear Nicki's schizophrenic rhymes. Fans screamed her name as she made her way into the Best Buy for a CD signing. Nicki is confident that Roman Reloaded will top the sales of her critically acclaimed debut album. Once again the news media serves up a shining example of the need for President Obama to sign a bill into law making birth control mandatory for hoodrats.

A Florida woman who was angry at her baby daddy took out her anger on her 5-month-old baby. The psycho stuffed the infant's head inside a plastic grocery bag and snapped a photo of the frightened child. She then texted the photo to her baby daddy who was out of town.

When police slapped the cuffs on her, she claimed she was only joking.

This is the kind of tragedy that occurs when women, who have limited intelligence and borderline IQs, are allowed to procreate. The Chinese got it right: giving birth should be a privilege.

Anyone living in public housing should not have the right to procreate. Anyone who can't pass a standardized test, which reflects basic common sense, should not be allowed to procreate.

My ideas may seem extreme, but if you can figure out how to register and comment on a blog, then I am not referring to you.

Enough is enough!

The NY Post's gossip column Page Six has another article about rebellious Rihanna defying her boss Jay Z's orders to avoid all contact with her abusive ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

A source in Rihanna's camp told Page Six:

“Her management banned her from reuniting with Chris, but she said she’ll do whatever the hell she wants to,” said a source, adding, “Rihanna is rebelling. She says they have been working her too hard and she wants some time to herself. They fear she’ll secretly record an album with Brown, just to defy them.”

But you already know all this because you are a loyal reader of (and, apparently, so is Page Six).

One of the saddest things I've read all year is Rihanna drawing an analogy between love and swimming with sharks, which she literally did while filming her first movie "Battleship".

Struggling singer, and substance abuser, Rihanna is being considered to play the part of Whitney Houston in a biopic produced by The Press Association.

According to theLifeFiles blog, "other actresses being considered for the part include Vivica A. Fox, Jennifer Hudson, Meagan Goode, Jordin Sparks and Brandy."

But 24-year-old Rihanna is at the top of the list of stars who are competing for the plum role.

“That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off,” Rihanna told The Press Association. “That’s a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job.”

We have no doubt that Rihanna would do an excellent job drawing from her experiences as a somewhat talented singer whose once promising career was derailed by her dependency on drugs and alcohol.

Remember the transgender person who was kicked out of the Miss Universe pageant for not being a biological female? Well, the pageant officials have caved under the intense pressure from the LGBT groups. It doesn't matter that this person has no chance of winning the coveted crown. The important thing is to be allowed to compete as a girl.

Disqualified Miss Universe Canada contestant Jenna Talackova better start practicing that wave: Officials have reversed their decision to kick her out for being born a boy. The 23-year-old can now compete on the condition she "meets the legal gender recognition requirements of Canada, and the standards established by other international competitions," although they still haven't clarified exactly what those requirements are. Source

My guess is that one of those requirements is to have a gay advocacy group in your corner that has the power and the money to topple pageant sponsorships.

I will also go out on a limb and guess that another requirement is to have powerful lawyers threatening to put the Miss Universe pageant on ice.

Thanks to loyal reader Dawn Sheen for the tip!

It is difficult for a narcissist with her own media empire to admit failure. But Oprah Winfrey, 58, did just that on Monday when she told Katie Couric that she made a mistake launching her OWN Network.

Oprah, who ended her syndicated television show's successful run at 25 years because a dying boy told her to, is struggling to accept defeat when she's spent the last 25 years winning.

Therapists often advise their stressed out patients to communicate with their younger selves in order to comfort and nurture them. Embracing your inner child is a method that some therapists teach to their patients who are on the verge of nervous breakdowns because of their intense feelings of inadequacy.

So Oprah wrote a letter to herself back when she was the youngest and first black female television reporter at Nashville's WLAC-TV.

"Dear beautiful, brown-skinned girl," she begins in her letter which is published in this month's issue of O magazine.

There was a time, not so long ago, when Mary J. Blige was on top of the R&B world. Her rich, superior vocals were compared to the likes of Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle. But you can bet that neither Aretha nor Patti would stoop so low as to sing for a Burger King fried chicken meal on top of a lunch table.

Thus is how far Mary J. Blige has fallen.

Yesterday, Burger King pulled the commercial ad featuring the 41-year-old singer after she was dragged unmercifully across all major social networking websites on Monday. How embarrassing for Mary, whose 1992 debut album, What's the 411? is still considered an R&B classic.

You can feel Mary's humiliation throughout the commercial as she wails the answer to the question: "What's in the new chicken snack wraps?"

The theme of the Burger King commercial is "Exciting things are happening at Burger King." Apparently, nothing exciting is happening in Mary's career right now.

Watch the ad after the break.

Is a movie poster-style online graphic really just a marketing ploy for a sequel to the 1981 cult classic film 'Escape from NY'? Or is it really a warning from Al-Qaeda that they have bigger plans for the big apple than 9/11?

According to Yahoo News, via the Associated Press, a mock movie poster surfaced on a website warning al-Qaida plans to return to New York City, but the NYPD says they are convinced that it's an actual threat.

I wonder what it would take to convince the NYPD of a serious threat from Al-Qaeda?

The feds -- more specifically, Homeland Security -- are all over the movie poster warning. The feds aren't taking any chances. They are monitoring the Arab-language website for any other signs of apocalyptic-style warnings.

T.I. just released his new single off his upcoming Trouble Man album, which drops this Summer. The single is titled "Love This Life" -- and what man wouldn't love T.I.'s life? T.I. returns to his sugar daddy ways with this ballad. And if you're wondering: of course he's talking about Tiny.

T.I. explained the song in an interview with XXL last month:

“It’s speaking to woman, but from a man’s perspective. People who find themselves in a situation where the woman might say she wants to part ways with the man, but the man [is] like, ‘Let’s be sensible about this. You gonna leave all this? And go where?’ That’s what he is sayin’, the gentleman is sayin’. I know there’s a lot of guys out there who find themselves in positions on all levels of life, not just as a rich man, but you have people who treat a woman the way she wants to be treated,” he continued. “There aren’t a lot of men out there who can offer that same kind of security, affection and protection; that will be kind of the song.”

Listen to "Love This Life" after the break.
