In Case You Missed It: Basketball Wives, Episode 11
In last night’s episode of VH1′s BBQ Wives, Royce’s dad finally confronts her about her slutty ways. He’s concerned about her relationship with yet another professional ball player (Dezmon) who just wants to beat up her walls. “I’m not a serial dater, I’m a relationship girl,” she says. What she’s means is she’s into Dopamine relationships. If a man makes her feels good, she orders him to pack his bags and move right in with her so she can keep a close eye on her Dopamine supply. Once the Dopamine runs out, she politely asks him to move out so the next athlete can move his things in.
Royce’s dad isn’t buying it. “You think that you need to be with somebody all the time,” Mr. Reed asks her. But mostly, he’s concerned about his grandson (Royce’s son with Dwight Howard), and he worries that Royce is exposing the boy to “all” the men she’s slept with. Royce bursts into tears after realizing the hard truth that her own daddy has peeped her game. And that hurts.
Meanwhile, Evelyn and Chad continue to carry on their charade of getting married. We all know their relationship is manufactured for the cameras. I mean, look at their body language.
Evelyn and Chad decide that he will wear a red paisley tuxedo to their wedding. Who does that? We also find out who the ceremony is really for: Evelyn’s ailing brother and his wife will renew their vows. So that’s what this is all about? By the way, the season is already in the can. So I did a little digging around and I couldn’t find a marriage certificate with either of these people’s names on it. I don’t even know why I bothered.

Royce’s segment was pure unadulturated truth!! She is lucky she has a father to tell her this and that he cares enough to. She’s always crying wolf and ends up alone so her father is just telling her to watch her movements because she has a life she needs to watch out for. Royce is seeking what her parents have and what she needs to realize is she can not make a man become her dad. Everyone’s relationship is different and when she meets a man the first mistake she makes is she skips the friend/boyfriend phase and goes right into “this will be husband mode” and we will be together for 41 years like my parents and is this day time unfortunately that is not realistic. For one she has a child by someone else so that will always change the aspect of her relationship with anyone else. IMO

Perhaps he should have addressed these possibilities before she became of dating age. The signs for the needy are present early on. He may have been there but not have given her the attention she craved. Some parents leave you alone as long as you aren’t acting up…

Real emotion is not that controlled imo. Her voice didn’t even sound sincere with that high pitched whine. Not to mention no signs of the runny nose usually accompanied by that sort of breakdown.

I have a friend like that…needy as hell! She was so quick to separate from her hubby and before you know it had this guy living in her home. Now she has two boys and two girls. She was so “in-love” and it didn’t work out. Next thing you know she is with this other guy and practically living at his house. I mean out of 7 days she probably would go home to her children 2 days.
He got put out of his apartment and guess where he moved? He moved in with her, so her young daughters can see yet another man living with them. All she wants to do is be under him 25/7! Yeah…I said 25/7 because she lives so far up his A$$ it seems as if the days extend. She lives with him, talks on the phone at work to him, talks on the phone with him until she makes it home to him…needy!
Oh…she got mad because I refuse to let her tie up my phone while I’m working and she’s at work phone. So she tries to catch up with everyone while she’s at work…please! She will literally not answer her phone at home, because it’s all about him. Well don’t expect anyone to want to be bothered when they are working. He is constantly asking her why she doesn’t hang out with friends. She gets an attitude when he goes out to hang and THEN she tries to call me….I don’t answer on purpose.
She goes from one man to the next and bring them around her kids. We invite her to girl trips and outings and she never goes. Yet, where he goes…she goes, and that is not love! I cannot stand a needy woman who throws love into the mix. Love ain’t got nothing to do with that…it’s Needy as hell!
