Gossip tabloid The National Enquirer has published photos of a cross-dressing John Travolta in this week’s issue. In the photos, which weren’t snapped on a movie set, Travolta, 58, wears full makeup, a pink dress and a blond wig pulled back into a ponytail.

According to The Enquirer, the photos were taken at a party in 1999 — six years after he married his long-suffering wife of 23 years, Kelly Preston.

Now comes word that Preston has left Travolta after enduring years of Travolta’s cross-dressing fetish, and other bizarre behaviors.

A ‘friend’ of the actress says: “Kelly told me their marriage is over and made it clear that she’s no longer living in the family home.”

“She’s put up with John’s double life for decades while his behaviour remained in the shadows. But all this coming out in public has humiliated her. Kelly is absolutely destroyed.”

Travolta is embroiled in a gay scandal involving 2 massuers who accuse him of sexual misconduct. John Doe #1 dropped his $2 million lawsuit after the date he gave of one incident between him and Travolta turned out to be false.

The NY Daily News reports that John Doe #, John Truesdale, who was identified last week, was offered $125,000 to drop his claims. But Travolta’s attorney, Marty Singer, denies the Daily News report.

Truesdale has retained Gloria Allred and stands by his accusations, despite the news that he was fired from a North Carolina massage parlor eight years ago for groping female clients and co-workers.

Kelly and John have two children, Ella, 12, and Benjamin, 18 months. Their eldest son, Jett, died while the family was on vacation in the Bahamas in 2009. He was 17.
