Rapper 50 Cent reportedly hospitalized with appendicitis
Yesterday on social networking website Twitter.com, boxing champ Floyd Mayweather sent out a tweet alerting his millions of followers that close friend, rapper 50 Cent, was hospitalized with a serious illness.
A confidential source inside Fiddy’s camps tells Sandrarose.com that the “Get Rich Or Die Trying” rapper is suffering from a wicked case of appendicitis — a painful, sometimes deadly, infection of the appendix. 50 Cent tweeted that he was going into surgery yesterday.
Mayweather, who was in Atlanta earlier this week, followed up with a tweet saying his friend had a stomach virus. But a stomach virus usually doesn’t require hospitalization or surgery.
Hours later, the rapper tweeted images of himself lying in a hospital bed surrounded by stuffed animals. He wasn’t that sick that he didn’t take the time to promote his latest mixtape: “I’m in the hospital but my gangsta grillz LOST TAPE is done so it will be out on time,” he tweeted.
But is this just another one of 50 Cent’s desperate cries for attention?
If you recall, rapper Bow Wow used “appendicitis” as a ruse to promote his album in 2007. It didn’t work. The album sold poorly.
