Megachurch Pastor Creflo Dollar Arrested for Assault

World Changers Pastor Creflo Dollar was arrested and charged with simple battery, family violence and cruelty to children in Fayette County early Friday.
Dollar was booked into the county jail at 2 a.m., according to Channel 2’s Tom Jones. He was released on $5,000 bond Friday morning.
When police arrived at the Dollar home they found a 15-year-old girl who told them Dollar choked her when she tried to leave the home to attend a party. Creflo and his wife, Taffi, built a custom home in Fayette County in 1996.
According to public records the 7401 square foot mansion is valued at $1.2 million. The Dollars paid $21,367 in property taxes in 2011.
Dollar is the founder and senior pastor of World Changers Church in College Park. The megachurch has over 30,000 members. Dollar made headlines last year when he refused to accept former members of embattled preacher Bishop Eddie Long’s church after Long settled a lawsuit with four men who accused him of sexual misconduct.
Dollar was among the first of the mega-church preachers in the country to demand W9 forms from his parishioners to determine the amount they should be tithing.
Dollar’s congregation has enriched his family beyond their wildest dreams.
But his immense wealth has come at a price: a former member of Creflo’s World Changers Ministries once told me that his personal bodyguards (who sit in the front row of the pews) carry concealed Uzi machine guns under their jackets.

Another thing, I don’t mind people disciplining their children (to a certain extent), however I think when you grab them by the neck, that IS assault. Just my thoughts. Yeah the girl may have been mouthing off, but at no point should you ever grab your child by the throat in my eyes.

I grabbed my kid by her neck once for rolling her eyes while I was talking to her. I slapped her once for blatantly lying to me too. Normally, I won’t lay a hand on them but, that was some disrespectful stuff she did and in the end, I think I was more hurt by my actions than she was.

Dollar’s daughter sustained “superficial injuries” to her neck, said sheriff’s office spokesman Brent Rowan. The 50-year-old minister was charged with simple battery, family violence and cruelty to children.
Deputies were summoned to the minister’s home around 1 a.m. after receiving a 911 call. They discovered “enough probable cause to make an arrest,” Rowan said.
Besides the physical evidence, Rowan said deputies also interviewed Dollar’s 19-year-old daughter, who confirmed her sibling’s version of events. Apparently the altercation centered around a party the alleged victim wanted to attend.
“During the argument father began to get physical with her,” Rowan said.

I agree partially to this though about him being a vessel and all that. God is the only one that will give you a job and fire you from that job 
and let you continue to perform that job, hence Pastors that should have been stepped down. But that is what I believe, some folks vessels have simply dried up, but Pride has left in them leadership positions, when really they need to have a seat. My father NEVER put his hands on me, all he had to do was raise his voice at me and I was in tears and if I got out of hand we would go on our “father-daughter walks” This was about 2 mile walk of him telling me what I did wrong, I hated those so I tried to stay out of trouble lol.

If this same doorter ends up in the streets, on drugs, stealing, pregnant, or tellin’ random mf’s she “need fithy dollars to make them holla”, you would be blaming her father for NOT gettin’ in that a$$.

Yes, I am a member and have been for several years. There is no ATM in the church (there is a bookstore and coffee shop that may do cash back. I don’t know, never tried it) and I have NEVER been asked by ANYONE to show ANY kind of financial documentation of anything! Period.
I’ve been aware for a while now that 1 or several of the offspring (all are adults now except the 16 year-old) have been engaged in a lot of misbehavior or issues. It is obvious that the long-time misbehavior has pushed him to some sort of breaking point. Whatever physical actions occurred, it is certainly not something that I would want to receive from my father as a 16 yr old or as a female of any age. I’m sorry that his temper got the better of him and pushed him to that point. I hope that he will take some time off and focus on this particular child as well as the rest of the family since things have gotten out of hand. As a parent, I understand how kids can push your patience to the limit. I’m sorry for him and his family that all of the tension has gone too far. Hopefully, both he and Taffi will take some time off for a while and work on their family issues.
While I do not agree with every word that comes out of his mouth and I am not currently a tither (used to be, am not any more), I have received a great deal of very helpful teaching from the ministry. I also adamantly disagree with his Eddie Long statements and stance and have sent a letter to him about that. Barring some future something or other that is beyond my capacity to look over, I will continue to attend.

Creflo Dollar, founder and pastor of World Changers Church International, was arrested early Friday on charges of attacking his 15-year-old daughter.
Dollar was taken into custody at his Fayetteville home and charged with simple battery and cruelty to children.

My stance:
Parent discipline thier children. Teenagers get out of hand and I dare not pass judgement on this man. Whether I agree with him being a mega church pastor or not.
I’m sure all the other information that was include was use to persuade the reader into demonizing this man.
HIS daughter got out of line and he handled it. Not sure how in one breathe one can think it’s okay for a MOTHER to be aggresive with thier children but in the next breathe CONDEMN a FATHER for exhibiting the same aggression.

In my case I say so because men are stronger than women and it goes back to the old adage of not putting your hands on females like where is the chivarly anymore he seems barbaric in this sense to me! He could’ve easily let his wife handle hitting his child – I can’t judge but I will say this – based on his style of living perhaps his focus is a bit preoccupied with other things – I mean the allegation about the W-9 and the armed guards in church don’t say much for his character either I formed an opinion based of an accumulation of accusations he’s already been charge with his crimes apparently

after reading the ENTIRE police report, i’m more incline to believe the daughter’s version of events.
The fact that his older duaghter changed her story after being with her parents spoke volumes for me. Creflo was trying to have his older daughter cover his arse
He wasn’t arrested for assault. Assault and battery are two distinct charges.
I keep reading comments saying “what did he do in raising her that made her think she could step to him” I can speak from experience that often times when children are choked out, punched, slapped, beat up they did nothing to deserve such harsh “punishment”. I don’t know the facts of this story, but maybe this isn’t the first time he hit her. Maybe she was tired of being hit.
In any even it’s never ok to choke your child. She wanted to go to the party against his orders? Let her go, take her house key, lock the doors and when she shows up later that night have to police arrest her ass…let her stay in jail for as long as they will keep her.
