Cowboys Star Dez Bryant Arrested for Assaulting His Mother

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, copes responded to a domestic violence call at the home of Dez Bryant’s mother in DeSoto, Texas on July 14 at 1:47 PM. When cops arrived at the home, Bryant’s mother, Angela, told police her son hit her in the face and grabbed her shirt so hard that he ripped her bra.
On the 911 call, Angela said, “My son has assaulted me. He’s here now. he won’t go home. I keep telling him to go, he won’t go…. I can’t let him keep doing me like this.
“I’m gonna put an end to it today,” she said as Bryant yelled profanities in the background of the call.
Angela Bryant called police 2 days later to report pain in her wrists, hands and arms and chest — where Dez pushed her. The 6′-1″, 198 lb Bryant turned himself into police yesterday. He was booked for assault and family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
Bryant, 23, is a star wide receiver with the Dallas Cowboys. He signed a 5-year/$11.8 million dollar contract with the Cowboys in 2010. In March 2011 Bryant was sued for $861,350 in legal fees and the cost of jewelry he allegedly took without paying for.

Agreed. Just like some say the would love from a distance(most likely what I would do), everybody ain’t/can’t do it. I try to look a both sides. He probably searching for that love he never has gotten from her, even after all his accomplishments. I couldn’t imagine how tough that would be to love from a distance. On this one I can say my mom slapped the chit out of me when I was 15 over my sis and a argument with her – like she saw me coming down the stairs and just slapped the chit out of me – when I explain that I had to do a quick countdown from not just instinctively reacting but had to remember who she was – She apologized I later explained to her that she should never hit me like that again – She hasn’t I think my eyes went dead!

Everyone experience is not the same though, but I get what you are saying it looks bad on him regardless of the situation

This is why it’s important for a child to have their father in their life. Most mothers are going to spoil by nature. Men mostly spoil by lack of being there, but spoil more w/materialistic things. Most kids would rather have our time, attention, and focus on them, vs. a new video game.

This is why I love the movie “Boyz In The Hood”. A mother surrendered her child to her ex. He may have had Police Helicopters flying over in his hood 24/7, but a woman can’t raise a boy to be a man. She loved her son, trusted her ex to do the right thing for their child. Boys/ young men need their Father’s to learn how to be a man. Daughters need their Father’s to show them how a man should teach them, when they start dating. Too many bitter, single Mother’s who did not get attention as a child, and don’t know how to let the Father, teach their kids, something differnt, from how they grew up. Every Father, is not trying to run away from his child/ren, many Mother’s push them away.
