Rihanna covers Harper’s Bazaar magazine
Troubled singer Rihanna, who was named Woman of the Year by Vogue magazine, tweeted Thursday that she was the cover girl of the current issue of Harper’s BAZAAR magazine. VIBE Vixen has the pics of the photo layout featuring 24-year-old Rihanna wearing an off-white Calvin Klein fitted white frock.
In her interview Rihanna talks about the drawbacks of not having an ample butt to fill out her dresses. She also discusses taking a break from dating for awhile, being a chronic love addict, her drug and alcohol issues, and being rebellious.
The August 2012 issue hits newsstands July 17th.

Ok so I have a SERIOUS question….how is it possible to hate your child/sister/brother etc. because they are gay? Yes I’ve been raised in church and I’ve always been taught its an abomination but my sister came out to me a year ago and I have to admit, I always thought she was gay! Even as a child, idk….my point is if we are to hate the sin but love the sinner, how do we so often end up hating the sinner? This is just something that’s been on my mind because my sis has been fighting (legally, etc) folks left and right since she came out and her mom (not mine, lol) went from loving her to hating her in a matter of an instant….I just don’t get that

Some things take time. Put yourself in her Mom’s shoes, she had a baby girl and had dreams for her baby girl and now her baby girl has told her how she feels and the Mom doesn’t understand it (yet).

I say just be there SUPER SUPER for your sis because it’s hard going up against the world and you don’t feel like you have anyone. Just be her encouragement and let her know that nothing stays the same, it’ll change, but just live her life and pray on it. IMO of course

That was my way of saying “be empathetic” without having to say it. Usually when you try to diffuse conflict it helps if you can make the other person (even if they disagree) think from the other’s point of view. The Mom still feels the same way (we can’t help that) but we can help stop the daughter from feeling it because once you recognize something and call it out in your mind, you can move past it. IMO of course.
