Man and his mother arrested after kidnapped girl says she was raped, gave birth to captor’s baby
A 17-year-old girl who was reported missing two years ago escaped from a home in Washington Park, Illinois this week, according to news reports. The girl who is now 17 told police she was held against her will, beaten and repeatedly raped for 2 years by a man and his mother. The girl told police she gave birth to her captor’s child (who is seen being carried out of the home by members of a SWAT team).
According to reports, the girl, who was 15 when she vanished in April 2010, escaped from the home on Thursday and ran next door to a Mobil gas station, where she begged for help.
A SWAT team arrived and arrested a 24-year-old man and his mother without incident. A toddler and a 16-year-old boy, still wearing his school uniform, were also removed from the home around 5:30 p.m.
Police say the man’s mother assisted in the crimes against the teenage girl.
The girl told police she attempted to flee the home several times over the last 2 years, but the man chased her down and forced her back inside the house at gunpoint. The girl said the man and his mother, both unidentified, forced her to give a false name when she gave birth to the man’s son over a year ago.
But a next-door neighbor disputes the girl’s tales of kidnapping and forced imprisonment.
Neighbor Lakeitha Smith told local TV news stations that she saw the girl outside the home on numerous occasions. “I used to see her come out of the house, back and forth,” Smith said. “I didn’t think she was being held hostage in the house.”

well it doesn’t say the child was 2…my bad. I’m not believing this story. She had her captor’s baby when? Cuz that damn sure aint the foot of a 2 year old kid. I wonder if other kids were in the home and this is 1 of them being carried away.
Really tho, this world is getting worse and worse. I am thankful for my blessings and pray I never have to see my kids go before me. :praying: is all we can do sometimes.

Yso I think that even if she went away willingly she was still a victim as an adult the man knew she was a child and he was fully aware and more than willing to participate a crime. His mother didn’t think of the girls parents and this went on long enough for her to have a baby? If they didn’t find anything wrong with the situation then they wouldn’t have went along and kept her there knowing they were committing a crime.

An audio news report had the neighbor lady saying she saw the girl from time to time and it didn’t appear that the girl was being held against her will. But she also added: “If I’d known she needed help, I would have called for help.” I didn’t hear her say she doubted the child’s story. (sigh)

What do you consider “little?” I flat iron my 10yo daughters hair but not when she was 1-8yo…She has naturally curly hair so we switch it up from curly to blow dry press..I dont use chemicals (perm) or straightener products just olive oil and a flat iron at 450d
@DB #85…True, that would make a difference. I guess I just assumed she was older with the cute clothes. Your timeline is about right. I think my hair was some sort of braided most of the time and I got a perm at 14 to go to high school. Think it got pressed for Easter and Christmas starting at maybe 6 or 7.
I am not disputing the kidnapping or abuse, I’m just saying that it probably started out “innocently” enough.

I wonder if her story was featured on Find Our Missing? I remember a couple of cases out of Illinois, but can’t remember the girls names. Well, thank God she is free and in safe hands.
