ABC’s Robin Roberts backs out of interview with Evelyn Lozada
Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada will sit down for an exclusive interview with ABC’s Good Morning America‘s Amy Robach instead of anchor Robin Roberts as originally planned.
According to a confidential source, who requested anonymity because she’s not authorized to speak publicly on the subject, Roberts backed out of the interview because of Lozada’s diva-like behavior.
The source told Sandrarose.com that Roberts, 51, wasn’t keen on interviewing Lozada. “She thought [Lozada] was beneath her,” said the source, who added that Roberts was a little put off by Lozada’s demands.
According to multiple sources, Lozada asked Roberts to conduct the interview in her luxury hotel suite in New York City rather than at the ABC studios.
But Roberts and ABC didn’t think Lozada was a big enough star to make such a request.
“Lozada’s people shopped the interview around to Oprah and other networks but Oprah’s people weren’t interested,” said the source.
The official reason given by ABC’s brass is Roberts declined the interview so she wouldn’t have to miss a treatment session for her blood disorder myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
But the treatment consists of an IV infusion which can be done anywhere — including a hotel room.
According to my source, cash-strapped Lozada wanted money for her first exclusive interview, but she quickly dropped that idea.
Lozada filed for divorce from NFL star Chad Johnson, 34, after he allegedly head butted her during an argument over condoms on August 11.
VH1 swiftly dropped their reality show, EV and Ocho, after the unscheduled fisticuffs, and the Miami Dolphins dropped Johnson from the roster. According to VH1, there are no plans to air Ev and Ocho — ever. But plans can change.

Well, I don’t know why Robin even agreed to do it…seriously they should have gotten Laura Spencer to do it….she used to work for Entertainment tonight and she’s used to E list stars….

I remember all she did..I also remember the others too…but I just don’t think replicating her language and/or behavior really solves and/or helps anything. I think what she did was wrong as well but I don’t feel the need for name calling etc…
