Diddy and Misa Celebrate Justin’s 1st UCLA game (Video)
Sean “Diddy” Combs, 42, the CEO of Bad Boy Records dotes on all of his children, but his firstborn son, Justin Combs, is the apple of his eye. So when Justin took to the field in his first game for UCLA on Saturday, Sean Combs and Justin’s mother, Misa Hylton-Brim, were right there in the stands to show their support.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulane safety Devon Walker remained in stable condition Sunday and will soon need surgery to repair the spine fracture he suffered while making a tackle during a game against Tulsa, officials said.
Roger Dunaway, assistant athletic director for Tulane University in New Orleans, said Sunday that Walker’s parents had arrived at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa on Saturday night.
“We’re just hoping and praying for the best for Devon and his family,” Dunaway said.
Tulane said specialists treating Walker at a Tulsa hospital placed him in traction after Saturday’s injury and are treating him for a lot of swelling to the neck.
“The current plan is for him to have surgery in the next one to two days,” said a statement released late Saturday, hours after the New Orleans team opened the Conference USA portion of its schedule against Tulsa.
Tulane’s team doctor, Greg Stewart, told The New Orleans Times-Picayune in a report published online Sunday that the player had some feeling in his arms and legs and that the possibility of paralysis was still unknown and it may not become clear until midweek.

Future I’m all for teachers making more money and I think they should be paid as much as doctors and lawyers but I can’t ride with the strike for the simple fact that those kids need to be in school. Hell for some of them school is the only structure, free meal and instruction they’ll get all day and I know teachers aren’t babysitters but these kids need it

This strike isn’t about money at this point.
It’s about to key issues based on what I have seen/heard/read: The teacher evaluation process and overall job security.
They want to measure teacher’s performances based mostly on standardized test scores which sucks for many, many reasons. It’s actually a law in Illinois now.
And teacher’s that have been laid off due to school closings etc. want first dibs at any new teaching positions and not have to stand at the back of the line.
Basically.
I support the strike. The teachers/educators need to get what they’re asking for. Under paid and overworked. They have to deal with a lot from students. They have to play mother and father to some of the kids…sometimes they have to buy supplies out of their own money. They are more than just teachers. I have several friends who work for Chicago Public Schools and I supprot them for standing up for their rights!!!

GOOD teachers need raises and job security. Teachers shouldn’t have to worry about losing their job every year. I LOATHE standardized testing. It doesn’t show what kids truly know. Takes the teaching away from teachers, and makes learning boring.

There are a lot of teachers out there who are only in the profession because they came out of college with no career to go to and they were smart enough to get education credits while in school just in case. The days where teachers are teaching by choice are pretty much gone unfortunately because most people are not going to work towards a career where they can’t afford to eat and live on their salary alone. There are still some out there who are teaching because they want to make a difference but many others are not. But if you want good teachers who are focused on the children then you need to pay them accordingly. Standardized testing is bull**** and always has been to be honest. At least back when I was in school you took the tests for a couple days once a year and then went on your way. These kids are taking them once a quarter (at least where I live) and everything is geared towards teaching them to ace these tests. My kids are in a great school district with good teachers but it still doesn’t change the fact that teachers have little room to really teach and foster a love for learning if they have to focus on test preparation everyday
