Honey Boo Boo Ties Bubba in TV Ratings
Wednesday’s TV ratings for TLC’s blockbuster hit reality series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo trumped Bill Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. The numbers aren’t in yet for President Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention Thursday night — which went head-to-head with the MTV Video Music Awards. So we don’t know if MTV defeated the pesident in the ratings race.
‘Honey Boo Boo’ pulled in 2.4 million viewers on Wednesday, and despite a 20% drop in ratings from the previous week, the precocious 6-year-old still tied with Clinton in the TV ratings.
It will be interesting to see how President Obama’s numbers match up with the MTV VMA’s, which aired live Thursday night during the DNC live telecast. Even if he is trumped by Rihanna, Chris Brown and Miley Cyrus — Mr. Obama can take solace in the fact that ‘Honey Boo Boo’ beat all broadcasts of last week’s Republican National Convention — including Mitt Romney’s speech.

The President drew In 54K tweets per minute with his speech while Romney only had 14K per minute so I think the President will do fine in eating against VMA

i watched the POTUS speak yesterday and it bothered me that people could send fifty thousand tweets on the VMA’s but were as silent as the deadly fart when the POTUS was was speaking.

I think honey boo boo’s show is not all that bad, u can tell the producers set them up to act more of a fool, but all in all, while watching, I feel better about myself and how I’m raising my kids…#veryserious… they all sleep till 2pm, and the dad is the only one who works… they have a clean house, and a nice truck… it really ain’t that bad… she’s a cute lil girl that speaks her mind..

you have to consider who’s on twitter and who utilizes twitter a lot…I and most of my friends do not have twitter and the ones I do know that have it, posted about it…I’m willing to bet most of the vma twits were from very young folks (who’s their target audience) and just because folks didn’t tweet doesn’t mean they weren’t watching

Tied on what channel MSNBC? Major network ratings don’t even begin to compare with cable ratings so you can’t convince me of this one. Plus the awards went off before the Prez spoke.
Good morning everyone. I really just came on this morning to say I (e)love n respect all of my fellow roses. What seperates this blog from any other is the way we are like one big family. Auntie was onto something good wen she decided to screen potential roses and requiring a work email for registration. In a way this sets the atmosphere for the type of people who post here
I will admit I lurked for a long….very long time before I used my log in. Everyone here has some type intelligence n integrity which makes for good conversation and helps us all get thru the day. So many different personalities and jokes that have me busting out laughing 3 and 4 days later (like wen Man said Michael Ealy looked like a gay vampire…which was my reason for registering in the first place,but I digress) we are all working seemingly decent good people. This is why we are so much like a real family.
Sometimes the subliminal shade and favoritism is very apparent. But the more I lurk/post the more I realize that like a real family some u will naturally click n gravitate to (I LOVE Fayla. Her spirit is beautiful) some u just deal wit. Some u ignore completely. Since we ARE all different n have REAL lives, the best way to deal with ur blog family sometimes is to not get too personal n remind yourself that its just a blog. Log off. Wait for a few posts n log back in.
I’m a Pisces n still young n a little green so I KNOW I have the tendency to get sensitive at times. But I realize that everyone isn’t the same way. I say alllllll of that to say this. We are a family. This blog is for us. N even tho things go left sometimes it should never be serious enough to take your feelings beyond this blog.

the DNC came on a number of stations and NBC and ABC averaged over 4 million a piece for wed during clinton and a total of all the stations was over 20 million. last night nbc, abc, and cbs had 15 million viewers alone not even counting the cable broadcast so the final numbers on that will be even higher than the 20 million that watched bill.
Sorry watching little girls parade around in make and acting like grown woman is too kiddie pron-ish for.
