Beyonce will not be starring in Clint Eastwood’s remake of ‘A Star Is Born’ — apparently because the director dissed Barack Obama during the Republican National Convention.

Speaking to an empty stool onstage, which symbolized Obama’s presidency, Eastwood said: “So, Mr. President…how do you handle promises that you made when you’re running for election and what do you say to people?

Eastwood endorsed Obama’s challenger Mitt Romney for president — which obviously didn’t sit well with Beyonce, who cherishes Obama.

“I was looking forward to the production of ‘A Star Is Born’ and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood,” said Beyonce in a statement to E! News. “For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.”

It’s funny that Beyonce can coordinate her schedule for everything else she wants to be a part of. It’s Beyonce’s loss, not Esatwood’s. She can’t act anyway.

There have been four remakes of the classic ‘A Star Is Born’. The most memorable remake starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976.
