In Case You Missed It: T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, S2, Episode 8
Last night’s episode of T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle featured a heartwarming moment between Tameka “Tiny” Harris, 37, and her parents, Dianne and Charles Pope, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Tiny visits her parents often (at least several times a week when she’s in Atlanta), but you couldn’t tell that by watching the show every week.
Unlike BET’s Tiny & Toya, which featured Dianne and Charles in almost every episode, VH1 has virtually ignored Tiny’s side of the family — a fact that does not sit well with Tiny’s outspoken 16-year-old daughter, Zonnique Pullins, aka Niq Niq.
In the caption under these pics of Niq and her grandmother, Dianne — Niq tweeted: “No words can express how much I love her and a million paragraphs couldn’t tell.”
Niq Niq’s growing hostility toward the producers of the show comes through on the TV screen. In fact, some viewers (myself included) mistook Niq’s chilled, quiet demeanor onscreen for friction between her and her stepfather, Tip “T.I.” Harris, whom she loves dearly.
What we don’t see onscreen are the icy verbal exchanges between Niq and the ‘Family Hustle’ production crew. Niq LOVES her Mamaw and Papaw (as she affectionately refers to Dianne and Charles Pope), and it upsets her that the producers ignore her side of the family (including her aunt Michelle and uncle Redd).
In fact, the main reason we saw Tiny’s parents on last night’s episode (for less than 3 minutes) is due to Niq, who spoke up about the producers only focusing on Tip Harris’ side of the family.
Speaking of T.I., people can say what they want about him, but he is an excellent example of a real man who takes good care of not only his children, but another man’s child as well.
What the public doesn’t know is that T.I. stepped up as a father figure to Niq, paying for her expensive school tuition (and everything else) when she was a child. T.I. has always been there for Niq.
A man does not have to be a child’s biological father, he just has to be there. And T.I. has always been there for Niq Niq.

Her dad is sick and I wouldn’t want him on screen all the time either. Before he was walking around doing stuff now he is in the bed. I feel sorry for her because you can tell she loves her daddy.

I caught 10 minutes of the show and Shenika (sp?) is too damn funny…when she called ‘Chelle O a bitch and then caught herself and did the cross I died
…oh and up close filming is not for everybody 
Well before her dad was mobile, now he is bed ridden. I wouldnt really want that on screen all the time either. He’s very sick and I think it’s mostly out of respect that they dont have the cameras in Tiny’s parents house all the time.

Niq was reportedly upset that Zebo did not show up for her 16th birthday party, which was paid for by T.I.

It some cases its hard for a man with less fortune to comapre his lifestyle to antoher man style. MEN are Providers and when they feel less than a man especially to their own kids. it is hurtful they may not say it but its in their Gene. I dont know zebo personally but i do know folks who know him.. sometimes everything ain’t always what it seems its nothing wrong with giving prop to another man for raising another man child but if he is in the relationship with ther mother that comes with the package

It needs to go to court, just like those women in the McDonalds that jumped over the counter to get their wigs split. Stop acting like men if you don’t want to get treated like one. I don’t get why she had to do all that in the first place.

Shame on you Sandra for talking about her biological father like that. When a man’s ego is threatened or bruised, especially by another man its a tough situation. I just hope he’s in her life, CAMERAS OR NOT. What we see is just that, T.I. who is Zonnique’s mother’s husband and her step pappy, and her mother. It ain’t Zonnique’s father’s place to be on the show. Who knows, maybe he may not WANT TO BE on it. Last I checked, her 16th bday party was on camera so who knows what the situation was about.

May i say…..
I like to see Tip and Tiny as a family. It’s comforting. They are two parents who are comfortable in their skins when dealing with their children in front of the camera. I get the impression the atmosphere is the same whether the cameras are there or not.
Those sons are awesome…the little ones are adorable…and I can’t wait to see the spectacular things Niq-Niq is going to tackle as she continues to grow as a young woman in this industry.
TIP, is serving as a great example to his younger fan base. If the masses can purchase a new pair of sneakers at the word of a celebrity…surely they can pick up on the life examples as well.
This show over all is a wonderful look for T-I and has initiated a whole new fan base…I am one.
S/N: Niq if you read the blogs…PLEASE GO TO COLLEGE and SECURE a degree or two, before diving full-time into the industry. Though i am saying that…i get the impression that is your parents plan for you…i wish you blessings

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. and Mrs. Pope. I am so glad that he is doing better. Alzheimer’s can be a very difficult disease for family and caretakers. Much love to Tiny and her entire family!
And is it just me or where is the interaction with Deja and her father? I don’t see too much of it this season?

Tiny and Toya…there was only so much story there. With this show you have Tiny, TI, and the kids which makes for various story lines. And when I see Tip’s family they’re usually at the house with him, clearly her parents cant get around like that. As long as they cared for and loved they dont need to be on tv IMO. Morning all.

Ummm Sandra, I have seen Zeboe at a couple of Zonnique’s bday parties since he got out of jail in 2006…and he came to one of her OMG girl performances as well..so i dont know what u talking about Sandra. Zonnique talks about him all the time on twitter and she always says she has 2 dads(him and Tip). Zonnique even gave him a bday s/o on his bday on her instagram and posted a pic of them together.
So, i dont know where all this is coming from all of a sudden Sandra did Tip pay you to throw shade at him since Tip is a “friend” of this blog n all..lol? You need to let Zeboe speak instead of speaking for him. We dont know whats going on.
