Lil’ Scrappy arrested
Atlanta rapper Lil Scrappy was arrested Monday in DeKalb County for a probation violation stemming from a 2008 weed conviction, gossip website TMZ reports. Scrappy, real name Darryl Kevin Richardson II, was taken into custody and handcuffed by a plain clothes officer for failing a drug test on Sept. 4.
“I just got locked up pray for me,” the 28-year-old rapper tweeted to his Twitter.com followers on Monday.
Scrappy’s first court appearance will be today (Oct. 2).
Scrappy owns a home in DeKalb County, a suburb east of Atlanta. He was sentenced to 5 years probation in 2008 for possessing marijuana, and he was ordered to abstain from drug or alcohol use.
At the time of his 2008 weed arrest, Scrappy was busted for carrying a concealed weapon and obstruction of police officers. He was sentenced to 1 year probation for each of those offenses, but they ran concurrently, reports TMZ.
Scrappy is a cast member of Vh1′s popular reality TV series “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” His 2006 rap hit “Money in the Bank,” reached number 28 on the Hot 100 Billboard chart.

Exactly…You dont have to be with your baby’s father to be happy and live your life. I think he just got carried away and was feeling himself after the show. Hopefully he understands the severity of the situation and thinks of his little girl in the process. She’s old enough to know now.

Dunno if this was said…bu in many jurisdictions now in the several states (particularly Georgia), they let you keep your cell phone while in holding.
You only get your cell phone & money held if you have to get transferred to a real overnight jail or such.
