Loyal SR member April Lamons, aka GlamorousCEO, and her husband, Darryl Davis, were featured in a recent issue of JET magazine.
From JET magazine:
April is a career advisor for a CDL training school and also owns the Glam Shop online boutique. Darryl is a finance director for Malcolm Cunningham Automotive Group. Most women are lucky if they get one ring, but April received two. The first came in the Summer of 2011 when Darryl popped the question after a day of romance. The second came that Christmas when he professed his undying love and presented his fiancee with an upgraded engagement band. And a speechless April, of course, said yes — again.

I think you read it wrong. He asked her the first time after they’ve had a day of romance. They were together longer than a day. But he probably took her to a dinner, had flowers, a car service and all that, then popped the question.

I’d like to see the rest of the dress! It looks cute! Maybe like it was one of those breakaway dresses. Like the one Mariah had on at the MTV VMA’s that year they had the skit where she & Whitney had on the same dress. Mariah did a little *rip* and her dress was instantly shorter.
I wonder if they did a spread on the couple or is this the only pic. They should’ve known to show the whole dress, either way.

Jet gets a big thumbs down for not showing a pic of the entire dress. A 2nd pic would have worked. They know the ladies reading would want to view the whole dress.

“Texas Woman Buys Cheap iPad, Gets Mirror Instead”
A Texas woman named Jalonta Freeman purchased what she thought was an $800 iPad for $200 but it turned out to be a mirror attached to a piece of cardboard (excuse us as we fight the laughter). Freeman said she was at a gas station in Arlington, Texas when a man drove up to her and said he was selling the “device.” Freeman said she felt the price seemed like such a good deal but upon initial hesitation the man told her that he was in a hurry and had to go (like that’s not shady). She gave him the money and he sped away before she discovered that she was taken advantage of.
“I would never do anybody like that, get a job,” said Freeman. She then added that she felt stupid and that she “basically got robbed.” She finished off with a warning to people about not buying anything in the street from people.

Our big issue is that he is separated but not divorced because he doesnt want to cash her out… I didnt think it fair for him to expect “exclusive” from me when he technically couldn’t offer it. But he was cool, and he still wanted to go out and travel and entertined all the stuff I wanted to do. Drew the line at clubbing with me but that was understandable…
