Photo of the Day: La La and Michael Ealy Campaign for Obama
Socialite La La Anthony (wife of NY Knicks star Carmelo Anthony) and actor Michael Ealy campaigned for President Obama at Norfolk State University over the weekend. It’s crunch time for the Obama campaign. The incumbent president desperately needs to win Ohio and Iowa in order to stay in the White House. Polling of likely voters in both states shows Mr. Obama trailing Gov. Mitt Romney by a slight margin.
Please get out and VOTE on Tuesday for the candidate of your choice. You are voting for those of us who don’t have a voice in this election. We resident aliens aren’t allowed to vote even though we are forced to pay high taxes. Maybe whoever wins the election on Tuesday will change that dumb law.

(AP)- A Charles City area man exonerated of a 1978 wrongful rape conviction is regaining his right to vote.
Bennett Barbour thought he was eligible to vote after the Virginia Supreme Court exonerated him in May. But Gov. Bob McDonnell must restore his voting rights because he has other, less-serious felony convictions.
Barbour also owes court costs in Henrico County and fees to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
Supporters of the 57-year-old Barbour raised funds Friday and Saturday to pay the court costs.
McDonnell spokesman Tucker Martin says that Barbour will be able to vote once the court fees are paid on Monday.
Martin also says the governor waived the unpaid DMV fees.
Barbour’s lawyers say he plans to vote in Tuesday’s general election.

I am very ready for tomorrow to be over. Then I will know if I can keep on doing what I do or if I will need to leave my small business job and go back to a more affluent corporate atmosphere so, they can afford me and my health insurance. I hope my boss can survive; she is a good person and has had this business for over 26 years. I would hate to see her get lost in the politics of big vs. small. -ho hum and a bottle of rum.

Texas Roadhouse is giving veterans and active duty service members a Texas-sized thank you, with free lunch on Veteran’s Day. Every Texas Roadhouse in the country will be participating, including our local Camden and Seaford, DE and Salisbury, MD locations.
Officials say that last year they provided more than 80,000 United States military personnel with lunches. All veterans including all active, retired or former U.S. military gets a choice of 1 of 10 entrees during lunch, from 11 AM until 2 PM.
Participants must show proof of service like a military or VA card, or discharge papers. The free meal is for military personnel only; free meal offer does not include spouses or other family members.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. Sometimes they have to sacrifice the amount of food to purchase over a cash need, like a bill. They don’t always go out and spend it on b.s. like most folk would probably assume they do.
However, there has been a known rise in bridge card (foodstamp) trade-off transactions when certain concerts are coming. I ain’t got nothing to do with that though. I just look to get a deal on this high azz food and a way to keep from spending all my lil’ hard earned money since I don’t “qualify”. I never even tried either – I just know I don’t.
