1st Gay President? Booker Considers Presidential Run
Politicker.com reports that Newark Mayor Corey Booker has thrown his hat into the presidential ring. In 2010, Mr. Booker’s fundraising advisor Bari Mattes registered the following websites for her boss: BookerForSenate, BookerForGovernor, but most notably in March she registered the website CoryBookerForPresident.com.
But before he campaigns for Barack Obama’s job, Booker plans to unseat incumbent New Jersey Governor Chris Christie next year.

Mr. Booker is thought to be one of Democrats’ best chances to unseat Mr. Christie. However, Mr. Christie’s handling of Hurricane Sandy and his subsequent embrace of President Barack Obama was a public relations coup for the governor. A Quinnipiac poll of New Jersey voters released last month showed, though Mr. Booker has the strongest chances of any Democrat against Mr. Christie, the incumbent would handily defeat him in a potential matchup 53 percent to 35 percent. In October, a Quinnipiac poll found a hypothetical race between Mr. Booker and Mr. Christie would be much tighter with the governor holding a slim 46 percent to 42 percent lead.

What’s wrong with Hill pursuing Sherry Shephard if that’s what he’s attracted to?
There’s no “ideal” woman. Believe that. I’ve seen some couples that would make you do a double take – that is…IF you play into societies definition of what is attractive.
I also had to learn this lesson the hard way. I once got left for a bish that looks like Quasimoto. AND to top it off the bish was 6ft plus and he was 5’8 at the most. That’s not typical right there. But attraction is attraction.

I have an old army buddy who came out after he became a preacher. He recently sent me a link to a website about his church to look at, I read it and called him to find out what kind of church it is and found out its a “gay” church of sorts.
This triggered a long, “spirited” debate. I tried to explain to him that I loved him as my homie because he’s always been the spiritual, religious type and was a welcomed contrast to my wild, drinking, clubbing military crew back in the day, but I simply couldn’t support a church that was rooted in sin. He assumed my stance had something to do with sexuality and it doesn’t. My position was that teaching the bible and preaching to folk about walking upright while having a “1st Gentlemen” next to you at service just didn’t feel right.
Love who you want, sex who you want – I’m not opposed to not believing in a higher power if you believe it goes against your understanding as a gay person, but when you teach the bible while making the Word fit your lifestyle as opposed to making your lifestyle fit the word, then I can’t role with it. You can believe in the word, but I can’t trust you to teach it.
To me, I can no more support a gay church than I can support a church where the pastor is boinking half the congregation, one sin is no different than the other. So, the gay sin is no different than the lying one for me, but don’t try to skip over the portions of the biblle that apply to your sin in order to make it right.
